The Idiots of HC thread (1.13c FAM)

this is a continuation of this group (http://diablo.incgamers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=813130). Drixx thought we should start a new thread since we started new characters. anyone is welcome to join us. we play Monday and Wednesday nights 6pm to 9pm Central Standard Time (GMT -6). we are willing and able to help anyone catch up within reason and i'm sure i can help anyone on the outside of reason as well. we play with the RWM and (i think) everyone uses GoMule.

not a great start, we already lost one character (lvl 5) to a light emitting boss. let's make that the only death!

after getting the kid to bed i went ahead and got my merc situation figured out and i have a prayer merc wielding my newly found eth Bloodthief. i think when we get to the appropriate level, i'll wind up with a melee merc of some kind. since i dont need insight, i think i may go with act 5 merc using lawbringer. i'll probably switch to holy freeze using reaper's toll when we get to NM and then stay there.

i can help. i leveled a few more times and then respeced after coju and i separated. now i can wear the gear i'll wear most of the way through NM. also enchant and warmth are maxed so that's good.

CDM texted me, but I am afraid to say that TOR has possessed me. I motion that we adjourn the group until after the Holidays since I have quite a lot of stuff to do besides games before then.

This year our extended familiy decided gifts should be "hand made" so I am doing woodburning artwork for everyone, and each piece takes me 3-4 hours to draw and then another 5-6 hours to properly burn, and then I need to do the stain and varnish work as well ... ergo I probably should not be playing /anything/ right now.

Jan. 4th sounds good to me. Everyone be up to act 1, quest 4 in nightmare as that's how far I will progress.

And yes, the woodburning smells great. It's just very delicate work to do it nice and high quality. Changing tips frequently takes time for cooling too so I have to carefully plan out what I'm doing with each tip and get the most out of each cooldown.

The necro? Yes. He died a horrible death in the pits I believe. He did a re-specialization in poison control, and got a little too cocky without all his friends around. Well, curses. Maxed dim vision is a life saver.

should we just go ahead and table these characters for later? i've noticed us struggling a bit. i know we could make it, but my single mindedness of my build has kinda hampered me late game a bit i think. i could go back to my original plan (using demon limb enchant to save skill points), but i didnt really flesh that plan out fully. dunno what to do with the saved skills.

i'd almost rather switch my focus to the other sorc i'm making. i think she's about the same level and she'd be able to help in damage dealing a bit more. still she's not fixing our need for a tank-ish character. wanna start new ones with pyro and whoever else we can grab? still wouldnt let you get your character done, i'm fine holding off on mine now. the fun is kinda gone w/o our bowa or barb. i picked enchanter to raise those two as well...

Hey... I'm back in the land of the living. I've got about another week to go of pure madness and things are supposedly going to quiet down.

I had my regular classes for this semester, plus two medical incomplete from last semester to make up plus online classes plus my job reviewing paper for my university, in which nearly every other person in the department resigned so I've ended up with like 8x the normal amount of assignments.

I haven't even visited the site or anything in over a month. I'll check back in when I'm all caught back up... soon™

Yup, did you get that jajx3, zodx1, ber, mal, ist, ohm, and 15 els we sent you? cdm and i guarded, then made new characters with the same name to try that 99 xp thing. you wouldn't be able to tell if we played these chars again.
