View Full Version : Where will you be playing D3: EU, USA or Asia?
I did play d2 and LOD on European servers because it was convenient for me. My friends were there, but I did sometimes play and trade on American servers, but never did get any friends there :( . I think, that IŽll be playing in EU this time aswell, because of the many nationalities and cultures, which imo just makes gaming and communication more interesting.
Anyway since you apparently canŽt change servers unless you buy another copy of the game, youŽll be forced to choose your destiny:
So...
1: Will you be playing on European, American or Asian servers?
2: I can imagine, that South Africa and Middleeastern countries will be playing on European servers, because of latency issues and the same can be said for South-americans and Canadians, whoŽll probably choose US servers. Ditto for Asians et cetera.
Will the Latency issues determine on which servers youŽll play, or are you going to take a chance and choose another server just to meet new people and cultures?

Always North America servers just because i'm from Canada. Otherwise if I was in Europe i'd prefer to play with Europeans, I don't know why but thats the way it is for me ;)
Oh and they said you will be able to play on all servers with one copy. Its just the RMAH that will be restricted to the region where your Bnet account is located.

Latency is no longer an issue! It just affects chat, opening chests and stuff like that AFAIK. It doesn't affect the combat at all (at least for PvM). I can guarantee you that, because I have a beta account and the beta only has a US client, and I'm from Europe. The 250 ms that shows in the lower left corner of the UI DOESN'T affect me one bit :)

I am from EU so EU.... :D
I plan on east.
If latency really isn't an issue for me to play on EU it will be tempting though.

That's just in online singleplayer right? When you play with others they must lag...
I plan on playing on the server closest to me, and that would be EU.
I'll play on both but will have to trade on EU as that's where my b.net account is.

No lag in CoOp either.

I will likely be playing in EU, as I don't give half a damn about the RMAH and most of my online buddies are in Europe.

As an Australian, USA.

Why is that btw? :O Are Americans less friendly than the awesome people residing in Europe?
No lag in CoOp either.
What, isn't that impossible? No matter how you design the system, if a players lives so far away that an update on their position/attacks is only made once per sec, doesn't that mean you'll see single-second-lagging on that teammate?
:O
EU. Hopefully they'll have servers in Sweden like in WoW so I can enjoy a ping of 25 ms.
EU and hope I don't get annoyed by all the "ger?" *sighs*
Probably wont be since I'll more than likely be in closed games with good friends :)

Definitely US servers, never had good experience with Asian players, despite being from Asia.
Europe is out because hardly anyone speaks chats in English.

Most likely EU. Although it's a shame a lot of European people refuse to speak english.
IŽm from EU so of course US. :)
As long as the latency isnŽt an issue. If the lag is insufferable, then I will go EU.
