View Full Version : Proud of the DIII community
Hi all. Nobody knows me, but I've been a lurker of this site since it was founded. Used to post in D2 beta times... but then not so much.
Just thought I'd post the result of a question I asked a known Blizzard employee on reddit.com (Working on the Titan project). I'm not going to name them as that would be daft, but I asked them how many people have bugged them for a f&f beta invite. I was immensely surprised to find that the answer was zero.
So... how many redditors have bugged you for a blizzard f&f Diablo3 beta test invite?
Actually none have! My employment isn't that well known apparently. :)
We only get five though and mine were spoken for immediately. Plus they can't go to people in the industry, press, or fan/community sites, sadly.
As their employment with Blizzard is fairly well known around the community despite what they say, I thought it showed great restraint and respect for their position by the Diablo community. so qudos to all of you :)

How do you know if someone is a redditor?
Don't worry, they'll tell you.
Seriously, /circlejerk. No one cares.

Yeah, give me their user name and I will destroy your claim of restraint and respect!
j/k, I don't care about beta THAT much.
I realise this post would be dubious based upon the age of this account, and the fact I kept the employee anonymous. Feel free to be skeptical.
Just thought it was a feel good story I could share.

Actually, come to think of it, why were you asking about F&F invites in the first place? Sounds like you were begging for an invite to me.

Thanks for effort anyway!
theaverageidiot - I was just interested if people were bugging this reasonably well known employee just because he was a member of an online community outside of Blizzard. I cannot lie and say I wasn't secretly hoping for a bit of the action, but that was a secondary motive.
chrisek - Perhaps this would better serve in the general forum? Just figured it was beta related, so beta forum should be where it went?
