here is a short video I did by turning all settings as low as they would go(including resolution) then to a medium setting then to max it would allow me

*note AA is off in the beta but my GPU simulates it
Sweet, thanks. And we appreciate your streams also!
looks good even on low. good news for people with laptop:D
Call me what you want, but if you put it like that, one after the other I can see no difference, I think the best way to show off stuff is to make 3 pictures one next to each other so we can compare it.

Shadows are obviously turned off on low detail. Textures and lighting in general also seem worse. I couldn't see the differences between medium and high though.

Not a video dude. A simple screen shot. You know Print Screen it 3 times and put it together in Paint or just paste 3 separate images.

I could do that durr, be expecting a forum post either tonight or tomorrow with a picture comparison
Thanks for the video. Shadows resolution on medium is a little bit lower than on high but it will probably yield more fps without noticeable difference. Good to finally see some comparison between low/medium/high. Surprisingly even on low the game looks good :)
It looks good on low only because he is using a high rated video card. Put it on low using an average video card and it would not look so good.

It doesn't work like that. The detail levels will look the same on every hardware, only the performance will differ.
It will look exactly the same between card rated low and high on lowest settings. The only difference will be resolution, framerate or higher aa/af. Textures, effects and models will be identical on low with gtx 580 and 9600gt.
edit: HardRock beat me to it :)

Really ? Who taught you that ?

He changed the resolution as well for the video.
AA and AF can indeed look different depending on your card, but most people can't see those differences if you don't point them out for them.

Possibly because everything is a black blob and you can't see anything?
Gamma sliders people. Gamma.
Sliders.
Thanks for the video. Even at lowest setting, it looks good enough for me. At least now I don't have to worry about upgrading my comp just to play it.
