Hello everyone,

I'm glad to see the invitations has been sent and people are starting to play the game. So, how is your first impression about this game ?

Does it worth the time all this time (7+ years) to created this game?

Is it one of the best game ever played before, if it's the opposite tell me why .. .

Thanking you in advance and have fun lucky people !!!

@Ghost - Well, I guess I can consider myself a beta tester having gone to HQ. I've also played 3 other builds other than the beta.

My objective assessment is this: each iteration played better than the last. I think that is a testament to their development process. There is a lot of depth that permeates through the game, and you can see the ring of authenticity in each detail.

You'll always get opinions to such questions, but my first impression - every time - has been the following: "I'm glad this decade was worth the wait."

I played it for about 2 hours, killed skeleton king and then got kicked off.

I played the female wizard. Game is very smooth, electrocute cast instantly etc. I found shock pulse to be the best spell to use as soon as I got it and for quite a while since arcane blast and electrocute were too expensive at first. Each levelup your "elementary spells" decrease in cost by 1 arcane power, so by the time I was level 9 I could cast shock pulse forever without losing arcane power and electrocute became a bit easier to cast as well. Arcane blast still cost 35 always though.

I mostly would wade into a huge pack, use wave of force which instakilled all the small enemies and then mopped up with shock pulse and later electrocute. I bought some decent gear from the vendor and disenchanted pretty much everything I found. I crafted a nice wand, a REALLY nice helmet (gives like 14 defence which was like 27% damage reduction at level 9, so imba), and a decent chest piece. Skeleton king dropped a rare orb with some attack/precision and minor stats (9% more damage for wizards as well). When I watch people stream it they go pretty slow and stuff, I was playing like it was d2 after ladder reset and pretty much flying through it and herding big packs and stuff. When you levelup it sounds out a shockwave that kills stuff.

Basically when this game comes out its gona be amazing. As always its all about the loot

Played a couple of times now. Seems that everytime I get to sink my teeth into a bit, they wipe the servers. Which is whats happening now.

Still the farther you progress, the better it gets. I didn't really catch the bug for D2 until my barb hit about 30. Same could be said here. The more powerful you get, the m ore enjoyable the game becomes.

I carried on tradition and played a Barb in D3 as well. The combat was smooth and fun and even at low levels the game did a good job of making you feel powerful. It really is amazing thus far, even the changes simply for convenience such as right clicking to sell stuff is worth the wait.

Perhaps they could have worked a little faster ;)

It's amazing .. perhaps it's the anticipation or my love of the Diablo styled game. It feels like an updated Diablo .. still true to the original .. my only complaint (one that grows fainter) is that overall it's a little bright/sunny .. when you are plunged into darkness it is all the more dramatic though.
I think it is a beautiful game, perhaps something they couldn't have achieved without a bit of light.
I am deliberately holding back from becoming attached to my characters .. I imagine that I may burn out if the beta runs more than say 2 months as I am the type of player that tends to get attached to a favorite 'main' character rather than keep swapping .. I am using the time in the beta to find as many bugs as I can, learn a bit about the classes/mechanics and of course .. confirm if I will be playing a wizard forever .. or if something else steals my eye. At release you can expect me to be .. addicted.

does it worth the amount of time that we had to wait for Diablo 3 (beta) ?

To be honest, I think Blizzard have made a wonderful game because I didn't see negative points beside the fact that it seems very easy, but I can live with that because it'S normal act 1 ... afterall.

well considering we are only playing a tiny portion of the first act in the 1st difficulty, with no ah, no runestones and you can't progress past lvl 13, i have already clocked over a days played, levelled all chars to 13 numerous times and then proceeded to continue playing attempting to get better gear to epeen and kill things faster. through mf runs and bs rerolling.

Either I am a sad diablo addict or this game is gonna be just what we need. awesomesauce \o/ already I am planning my sc and hc 1st and 2nd chars based on these play experiences. oh and multiplayer/real ID friends system has become about the most streamlined experience possible.

*edit* if anyone is concerned about the games ease, just please think about what the beta is and its intent, compared to release, the fact its a tiny pre release test portion of the game at the start of normal.
Its intended to be the easiest part of the entire game, an introduction to the game, intended for the full range from the noobiest noob to the proest pro. Not some test package designed so Blizz can construct the next cu@lan mf allstars.

Once you have met arcane enchanted mobs, and then tried to imagine how much worse they are going to be in Inferno, I certainly have no fears about the games ease, other than the challenge itself >.<
