I posted them just now (http://diablo.incgamers.com/blog/comments/diablo-3-beta-character-creation-movie), with pics taken from the leaked movie, but since they're pretty, here they are.

Click them to see the larger if you want to be able to read the char descriptions. (Too wide to include full size here w/o breaking the page viewing.)

They look good. Not sure though why we need the gigantic font size on the left.

This should mean that beta servers are already up ?

Nice captures. About the font size on the left, they do look a little large but I'm thinking that also depends on the screen resolution size.

Or it might mean someone made it during the Friend and Family beta (which was during the NDA I think) and leaked them now to create confusion but the font is a bit gigantic and lacks any decoration. It's just a font which looks a bit cheap. I would've liked the D2 styled character creation.

but the build version is higher than the press pics from aug 1stYou're right in a way. The pictures that leaked and the pictures that were made back then have a different version.
But you can't see a build version on the character creation video which means that could still be an older video so there still is a possibility! :whistling:
Anyway, this video seems seems new with the other leaked stuff so I won't argue with you here.

Its strange that the classes don't seem to be displayed in their starting equipment, which I would have thought was a no brainer. Im more disappointed by this than the loss of the communal character creation screen.

Should of stuck with displaying all the characters and have them come out at you,I think it would remind you you were playing Diablo.A list looks overly formal and basic lacks any style.

This was a really good decision on Blizzard's part if you ask me, since this way you have a better idea of what you'll get in the long run with your class choice.

Remember, this is still a beta. The UI is definitely not finalized yet. The free floating class selection text looks like it was done in minutes (it probably was), just so that this functionality would be enabled in the game. Also, the cursor for the character naming area is off-center. I will be really surprised, if this screen will look like this in the final game.

Hmm not sure about that, its not like they even show high tier sets so doesnt really indicate that in the long term you will look like a camp transformer gypsy. Also 1 tier is hardly representative when you have 18 looks.

Id rather see the base set, it just hits home that your stating a new hero rather than a meaningless outfit.

Edit: I agree the huge blue text does look pretty cheap to me. I was expecting something a little less basic.

Useful, thanks. It'll save someone transcribing it when we add them to the wiki.
