There is a similar thread on the PoE forums, but I thought I would bring this here. Basically there is one last character class left announced as of yet, it's the intelligence/dexterity one, and I thought I would start a little topic on discussion of what class it would be.
To start it off, they already got the ranger for fast attacks and can main as a bowman, and the duelist for fast melee-single target attacks. If anything, I think the last character will have an AoE focus, given his intelligence trait. So I was thinking something like an arcane fighter, or something of the sort.
In the official PoE forums thread, people were going from healer to monk/assassin, but I doubt it would be the latter due to the aforementioned fact: the existence of duelists and rangers. While a healer, in my opinion, doesn't fit the game pretty well, given how he should be able to stand on his own and not rely on the existence of others to fulfill his potential (The paladin can benefit from his own auras). This has been true in the Diablo series, but could be proved wrong in PoE since it's a consistent online world.
I would love a battle-mage or something of the sort: A quick and stealthy fighter that uses magic to buff himself, but I think it's unlikely. It's far more likely for it to be a trickster kind of character: a trapper. If you think about it, that would cover the last role in the already existing character scheme of the Diablo series, given this game doesn't want to stray any further from that and that the ranger (I wouldn't know) isn't able to cover that role already.
TL;DR: I Think it's a trapper.
That's all I got to say, any thoughts?
