Not sure, might just be the old news that game sites are getting invites and sixen had to make a new post to brag about them being included.. Sorta made me think they actually had access though.

He said that it was just an invite. It isn't really an invite--it's more like a notification, or a reservation.

The beta is likely to begin very soon but I think the question that remains is if the press and fansites will have time for exclusive beta access, and if so, how long?

I may be wrong on this, but I think it's generally about a week for many games. I'm not sure about Blizzard. I'll be back in school by then at any rate and it isn't like I plan on actually getting into the beta.

Yeah but at least it is a step in a positive direction versus the last notification which was just requesting email addys. I for one didn't expect anything after the email for a couple weeks.

Good point but I wonder if this then will encompass more than was invited to the last beta event. And I honestly hope not they got their chance to play the game before.

That puts it at my wonder of Labor Day release party or something similar. I have been lucky with Betas not sure why but I am hoping it stays for D3. And as I write this I hope I am not jinxing myself.
