1.I understand that gems level up with and that they can be removed could you trade a levelled gem off of somebody else and use it yourself?
2.Do hybrid classes have less power in the skill tree's, for example with the ranger (dexterity) and the duelist (dexterity + strength) does the duellist gain less benefit's from placing points dexterity or the same? if they gain less how much less 75% or so?
3.How easy is it to find a party doing the same quests as you, are you just mainly playing alone or are there an abundance of people to quest with?
4.Is it as good as it looks!?!
be awesome if you could give me the knowledge.

In careful accord with my NDA...
1. Yup
2. If a duelist invested in the dexterity tree, he'd get less benefits than a ranger would, but more than a marauder would. Likewise, if the duelist invested in the strength tree, he'd get less benefits than a marauder would, but more than the ranger.
3. Very easy. Just ask "any level so-and-so group looking to level?" and you're golden.
4. Ya

In regard to #4: a number of people have brought up the concern that the skill animations are looking a bit lackluster. How do you feel about them in their current state?

Using knowledge from people who are playing the game atm through PoE forums and IRC it seems that as your character progresses there isn't a ton of differences between the classes. There's a ton of options you can choose and pick from but you can make the classes act like one another. I hope this answered some things.
Apparently though you can really gimp your dude if your a Marauder and you try and make it a magical guy. I hope this doesn't just confuse you more. lol
Oh thank God myndBlank is here with solid info lol

cheers for the quick answers! in regards to 2 is it percentile or are they completely different foe every class (hope that makes sense)
also yeah those animations do look a bit worrying, have they mentioned anything about improving those or will you have to pay for it with microtransactons? I'm guessing they are just place holders for now.

My girlfriend is in the beta and I've seen her play it here and there (trying to get a key to play with her still!). I think people are jumping the gun on this one and don't realize it's still in it's beta stages. There is a lot of temporary or missing items (placeholders), and I think the animations are going to get beefed up as time goes on, just like the choices in gems, items, etc. At the moment, they are somewhat lackluster, but there are other "essential" features that are still missing, so I feel they are going to get better with time.
Did that help at all? :D

It's the same way for the skill tree (FF looking thing) there's A LOT of place holder icons / animations
here what the tree looks like

There's like one or two casting animation per class LOL. I mean, it's fine, almost every game creates generic casting animations. No need to make different animations for throwing a fireball and for throwing an icebolt.

I think it's something like, a marauder has 100% efficiency in strength skills, a duelist has 50% and a ranger gets 25%. Likewise, a ranger would get 100% dexterity skill benefits, a duelist 50%, and the maruader 25%. So it's not completely different for every class. Note that these aren't real numbers by any means, I'm just throwing them out there to show that they're consistent between classes, haha.

...I don't think they're placeholders. There's nothing wrong with the animations at all, they function well, probably better than most of the other game functions (AHEM, SOUND EFFECTS). However, I heard through news that the purchasable "cosmetic upgrades" include changes to the skill graphics, e.g. changing the color of your fireball spell.

I heard about the colour changes in the blog, thos animations jusy look really static to me. like flames etc. aren't appearing from there hands or whatnot. obviously i can't comment on the sound effects as I've yet to hear them!

That definitely helped, although to be honest I can't say I was assuming that the game would be finished at this point in time :)
That tree is sooo huge :D
About the animations, maybe what people find boring is more the graphic effects than the animations. Who cares about the animations, we need beautiful spells ^^ Though someone said it's good to feel the power in our hit :) So i don't know, I need to see it with my own eyes :D

In Diablo Podcast 30 (http://www.diablopodcast.com/the-diablo-podcast-30-path-of-exiles-chris-wilson/), Chris says that one of the things that will likely be a part of the "ethical microtransactions" that make the game free to download and play will be different animations for attacks and spells. So if that's one of the things they are going to charge for, they probably won't inject too much awesomeness into the freebies.
They've stated that they want to release the best game possible, so the animations will be improved before release. In fact, one of the devs is getting our feedback on the animations now in a thread on the beta forums, so that they can improve them more. They're also looking to hire a new animator, according to their careers page at grindinggears.com

From playing the beta, I feel like there should be one or two attack animations added to all weapons, so it is more diverse, but right now its okay. Nothing boring or plain bad :)

I've watched my gf play and I thought it looked pretty decent for the most part. I guess the real issue people are having is that they don't change over time and you're stuck with the same animations from level 1 -> 100.
Of course, as we discussed, there most likely will be animations for sale or at least special colors.

I'm not too worried about the animations. As long as it looks like I am hitting monsters with my attacks, I'm not worried about them changing looks or whatever. I guess that's my old school d2 instincts taking over lol

yea im a huge fan of d2, sacred 2, and dota and all of those use the same annimations over and over so its not that big of a deal to me
