Here is a really sad story... sorry it's long but I have to say that somewhere.
I've been waiting for this PoE game whith growing interest for the last 6 mounths...
very excited by the beta lauch, as hundreds of Arpg fans, I've been crawling all day long praying to see my avatar's name on that cruel timer...
I even made this account here to get a chance for Diii beta givaways, whithout success. (which by the way i don't regret as I check this site very regularly)
I Went to bed and woke up this morning whith a PoE BETA invite on my mail! YEAHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Really, it's been better thant dropping a ZOD, that made my day!
It's under the same name by the way (SpockR). But as life is so frustrating sometimes, I just had the time to download the game before fleeing, late, at
work. I just had the time to notice that I couldn't login, while putting my socks in the rush, said to myself that I had make a typo while entering my email adress. No big deal, I'd have time after work... during the day, I cancel my band repetition planified on the evening, lying about my brother coming to see me from far (yeah I feel a bit bad about that now...)
but hey, my girlfriend is on holidays in Chile and I have more important things to do tonight! Yeah, hack'n slashing some damn zombies while drinking a beer, man!
But when I came back from work whith my beers, I realised that it wasn't a typo from my part, the game didn't want me to login...hurm, irritating...
well, so I visited the beta PoE forum, created a new thread called "beta loggin problem" but had no response... I PM Chris, asking him to check my account, if it was corrupted or something trying to be as specific as possible, cause I couldn't play.
Waited a bit... had no response still (these guys must be under serious pressure at this time). Well!
Maybe it's just that log thing which is gliched. log out, log in... invalid login... DAMN! What's happening whith this ****?
Go back to my mail, lauch the active link from it and... "identification problem, an account is already verified under that mail adress, be sure the URL is the link of the correct mail adress" or something like that. Mhh... try then to verify my password and "invalid email adress" shows up!
What? you sent me a mail this morning, man!
I imagine the smart guy made the mail migration during my log off.
So... no force on earth could help me log-back into my account...
As life is a piece of ****, I now can't see if Chris had responded to me;
neither if a dev responded on my thread on the beta forum.
So... I created a new account, SpockR2 and PM chris again. No response so far. In the rush of the beta I feel like my problem won't be adressed to.
Well I'm no computer expert but really suspect my account to have been pirated, seems nothing too hard during a beta.
And as I'm crying here, someone (really a bad person) must be happily enjoying the beta in my seat.
Imagine I have to wait again, for my second account to be selected.
Finished the beers, thinking about bying some vodka to keep going.
What can I do?
Do you belive that?
