Video to TDP!

Hey, just found this awesome site today and been reading different kind of game info and the other forum posts here and found out you have cool community out here. So I was just wondering that why don't you put some video on your podcast? Like in the skillrunes podcast, you could have shown what does the skillrune do to the skill and that kind of stuff, I think that would add something more to the podcast. What do you think?

The podcasts are being done as an audio medium, chiefly for listening to via the direct file or itunes. Adding them on YouTube is an afterthought/convenience for people who don't normally listen to podcasts. We provide links to the videos or other visual stuff we talk about in the news posts, and we've also been assuming that our listeners are also D3 news readers/followers who have already seen the stuff we're talking about on the podcast.

This is actually a point of discussion in TDP #19, which Elly and I recorded yesterday and which will be posted later today.

That said, we are beginning to make the podcasts more accessible/noob friendly, since we're seeing a big influx of new D3 fans with the beta approaching. I don't know if we'll go full on video embedded into the podcasts (that wouldn't work for the audio-only listeners and would wreak havoc with the file size), but we are doing some editing for the YT versions, at least adding images to correspond to what we're talking about, and we may add a bit of video here and there as well, as needed.

Of course as soon as I posted the above, Rush and Elly started editing video into the podcasts, as we're making slightly different versions of them for the YT channel. Snazzy video intro, plus video during the show, as needed. So shiny...
