Let us face it, we play the game for end-game reason and the way things are right now it seems that most of us will be gearing our characters to participate in competitive PVP.
So, what class will you play for your conquest to be the best in arena PVP? We had little PVP videos so far, and some of the classes aren't even included. But with all of the classes and their respective skills pretty much revealed to us, and gameplay videos as well, I think we can now make a solid choice on which class do we think will be effective in team pvp.
Just wanna know your thoughts.

I play the game feeling incredibly bored with the storymode and just want to get the high end gear and do x bajillion magic find runs but in the end I realize after the first 30k Hell Meph kills that I really want to start an untwinked werewolf or something.

I doubt we've even heard of half the skills at this point. And that's without counting runes.

I assume you meant which class you will play FIRST for arena, because I intend to play arena with every class I hit 60 with. Since wizard will be my first, wizard is what I voted.
There will definitely be pvp builds & gear, but I imagine that a fair number of people will be hopping in with their pvm gear & builds just for fun since it is much more casual than WoW arena.

We have the names of all the skills except 1/2 the DH ones, and maybe a few others they haven't finalized yet. What they do on the other hand, and skill rune effects... yeah we've barely begun to scratch the surface.

I've never been in the habit of rolling characters for the explict purpose of pvp. I tend to stick with and focus on a single character instead of rolling a multitude of alts. Given that, I plan on playing a monk first and will probably play a monk in the arena unless the class has drastically changed since the '10 demo.
It's a lame answer, but I'm going to have to wait and see. I have more of a natural tendency to play fast moving, hit-and-run, ranged attackers where I'm rewarded for fast fingers and tactics and varying skills, etc. Vs. just tanking up and crushing my way into the fray. (Though I did enjoy some Frenzy Barbs and Fury Druids and Zealots in D2.)
But that's for PvE... for PvP even the tanks have to be played wisely and with hit and run tactics. In fact there was more strategy required with a Barb than with a Wiz or WD in the Blizzcon 2010 Arena demo, since just standing still and chopping was a sure way to die very quickly. You actually had to vary your play style and pick your spots and dive in and out and move around and play cleverly *more* with a Barb than with the other two.
And that might be true in the final game as well, which means I don't know which class will call to me the most strongly for PvP play.
I really like the Monk but a bit worried about the combat mechanics of his combo skills in an arena setting. On that note, I personally think the DH will be the best, most fun character in the arena. Or the mage. Mages are always popular.
