...performed by a guy called KoPhanTom, and I need help on these two questions I have...

1) According to various screenshots, he puts points into Vitality at some point, but then stops at 35. He never mentions doing this in his report, nor does he ever give any indication that Vitality is an important stat, so what was his logic for what he did? Why did he stop pumping it after Normal Diablo? Can anybody figure this out?

2) After putting a few points in Magic, and maxing Dexterity, he pumps Strength almost exlusively in order to, quote "stay ahead of the stunning curve", however, I cannot find any formula's out there that tells how your chances of stunning an enemy is calculated. Can anybody help me out here?

And I also have another question...

3) Where can I find help files or other logs by players that did a solo Warrior Ironman playthrough?

I'm trying to figure all this out because I'm planning on doing an LP for this game, and I want my strategies to be as good as possible. That's why I'm studying up on them as much as I can, as well as how to distribute your points.

1) I have no idea about this
2) He could be referring to the way monsters chance to be put in 'hit recovery' is calculated. Which if we review Jarulf is

For the monster to actually go into a hit recovery, you have to hit it and
do damage equal or exceeding mlvl+3

And remember mlvls in Nightmare are +15 and Hell +30

This means that pumping strength will ensure that the rate your damage increases stays close to the rate at which the mlvl of monsters you encounter increases.

3) Edit: ok wow, a lot of the old sites have been removed in the past year or two. Tis a dark day for Diablo 1 =(

You can use the Wayback Machine. I just found a couple of the sites I used to use.

Alright, next question. Does anybody know, or have Youtube videos demonstrating how to use FireWall to it's full, maximum effect?

What does that even mean?

Don't cast it on angles as it is 'gappy' and monsters can easily walk through it. Cast it directly in front of you and stand next to it so attacking enemies burn themselves as they attack you. Cast on top of open doors in Church, Cats and Caves so that it goes along the inside wall of the room and burns all the monsters there, then dart in and out to aggro the rest and get them to chase you.

Does that apply to monsters like Goat Archers and Succubuses to? Just go in, lay on a Fire Wall, then aggro a group of them into the flames, where they will stupidly stop and keep firing at you as they're burning to death?

Goat archers and Succubi will normally stop a certain distance away from your character while attacking. So it'd be better to aggro them, retreat, wait for them to follow you and stop, then cast FW on top of them. Or if you know what distance they will stop at, or if you have a high FW level so they'll die very quickly, you can get them to chase you and put FW behind you as you run and then get into position where they will stand in it and die.

In general none of the monsters will avoid FW - they'll all just walk through it and/or stand in it. In Hellfire if you cast a FW and stand directly next to it, only a single monster will enter the flames at a time to you attack you from the tile directly adjacent - much like setting up your own doorway where only 1 monster will attack at a time. I'm pretty sure they don't do this in regular Diablo, though.
