..it's 10:16pm, Blizzard time, and.. we're still waiting.

So what's Bashiok been doing today, you might wonder? Lots of WoW forum stuff, basically.
http://blues.incgamers.com/Search/?&a=2714&name=Bashiok&p=1

Okay, a couple of those WoW forum posts were actually about D3, but let's pretend we didn't see that...

Why does the single D3 CM in the entire world get assigned to spend 75% of his work time doing WoW stuff, when there are already like, 50 WoW CMs for Bliz US, Bliz EU, Bliz Asia, etc?

This is why we can't have nice things as Diablo fans. These new char gear sets, (which are honestly pretty weak sauce; it's a screenshot of the char selection screen, FFS.) But it's the one thing we're promised for regular content, since like, ever. And 3 steps into the 6 step dance... and it's delayed and forgotten.

Grumble grumble?

There's no excuse for the picture thing. That being said, considering they BLEW UP WoW (completely new mechanics across the board, entire groups of character stats disappeared, the raid lockout system changed, the entire UI went through the ringer, etc), I'm pretty sure they're understaffed when faced w/ the unstoppable whine-alanche of such a massive pre-patch.

But come on, a freaking PICTURE?? He could have done it during his CA state law mandated "smoke" break. Unless he didn't get to take it, in which case Blizz is breaking labor laws, in which case THE DAMN GAME SHOULD BE OUT SOONER!!!

Note that it's an upload to twit pics. It's not like they're doing them properly, on the official website, with added item info, etc. Uploading that and posting a link in the @Diablo is like, 30 seconds of work. Bashiok does a lot of stuff behind the scenes that we never see, and I"m sure he's swamped with Blizzcon prep work as well as CM duties, but come on...

I refuse to believe that they didn't have all 6 gear set pics ready several weeks ago, when they first posted news about the shots. Also, it's not like Bashiok and the other CMs didn't know that big WoW changes were coming; they could have planned ahead and had the d3 stuff all ready to post, since they knew they'd be super busy putting out WoW fires this week.

This is why we can't have nice things as Diablo fans.

I think they're saving it all for Blizzcon, and the stuff they can reveal is quite limited.

Honestly I don't want to them to reveal:

1) The storyline, which I'm 100% sure they won't
2) High level skills, runes and items, these should remain a mystery.
3) Act3 and 4. No I don't want to see it, yet. A few screenshots, yes, but nothing else.

Meh, figures that this would happen with the female WD set. I get the feeling that Blizz doesn't really like the WD.

The male WD was the first pic they released...

it is pretty silly that in a lets say 16 hour period, since we will allow bashiok to sleep and not get to work till 8am, that they couldn't post a single picture.

like flux said they pics had to have been chosen weeks. yesterdays pick is probably sitting in a nice little folder with a cutesy little label that says 'upload me 12 Oct 2010'.

Heck, there's no reason that they couldn't have a program automatically upload the pictures on their specified dates.
