i am looking for a party, capable to make rush/leveling for a at least 24 hours non stop on the new ladder right after the start on 28th of september!

act1 normal - act5 hell killing baal takes around 15-18 hours, depends on how ofter we going to take breaks, and skill level of our group and how serious people are about to get to hell

12 hours non stop must be enough to make all the game untwinked with all quests done, but i want to make some baalruns later, so there will be no need to search for a good ones - it is very time consuming :scratchchin:
and drops will be shared ofc - thats why i prefer party from etf members only, but not strangers from outside :thumbup:

i assume all the major dmg will be done from elemental dmg, so casters are much more welcome and 1-2 good meat shields are more than enough.
and with so many casters relying on mana, we need to find good mana source - meditation comes in mind, so we need at least 1 more pala to make that instant insight true :D

skelletons are perfect meat shield, and oak sure gonna help, but for later baal runs... sorc cant tp with oak :P

And me being me, i like doign stupid stuff i ll tp to baal and other hot spots :P (like getting staff on nm/hell etc)

summonmancers use to the party: i am not in necros at all, so pls help me here :)

with blizz soso, trapsin or javazon we will cover 2 major elemental needs. it will be good to have 1 soso dedicated especially to fire.

the only 1 weak spot for our party will be tele to throne, all others - kill speed, survivability - will be ok with the mixed group of characters.

spirit sword (25-35fcr)+ stealth runeword (armor +25fcr) with crappy fcr rings should give me 63 fcr bp, which is enough for blind teleporting :D

shield could be rhyme to help my resistance department a bit, but otherwise i should be safe and sound :P

I would LOVE to join, since the last ETF party (at the beginning of current ladder season) that I participated in kind of broke when we hit norm Baal, so I'd really like to make it proper this time:)

I'd gladly join with an Amazon (can be fury as EpicDevia suggested in the first post). I'm pretty sure I can make it 12++hours without screwing this up, as it's my (short) vacation time now :)

to not get bored we can take our existing characters, restat them, get striped and jump directly to the hell mode :jig:
and we need to run this test asap to reveal our weaknesses :wave:

Let me say.. some ladder season ago my.. associates said me a nice scheme :)
I will join them.. in our "team" we have:
1. bliz sorc
2. fire(light sorc) - doesnt matter, the most dangerous was oblivios knight - better to fast kill them
3. barb bo main skill
4. pala conviction
5. necro summoner (no revive!) only skeletons, with massive cast decrepify, low res, sometimes corpse explosion
6. druid life supporter

The others - dont care, no hammer in our "team", we can able to do with no good eq sanctuary and sometimes baal runs, ofc if no souls :)
That was in the beginning, at the start, no good items etc, most of us was naked :)
NN bow amazon,javazon, trapsins because they needs nice eq, at "that" time we dont have much time to eq them, so we deny them.
Most of our "team" was sorcs :)

Updated: I can take any free vacation with sorc :) blizz or light or fire :)

dim vision > decrep (unless 1 point for boss fights)

LF kills cs + baal waves dead easy

assassins can shop for +2 sins / +3 traps claws while sorc tping to baal.

Hammerdins = personal preference.

our team almost as you suggest, just 1 javazon somehow managed to jump in :D

1. conviction pala: mainly providing conviction aura all the time. max hs, maybe max smite. char mostly for distraction purposes, because of virtually making no dmg.
2. blizzard soso: the main char for doing 1st elemental dmg. only 1 point in cm because of instant -125res from conviction aura. so all the rest to max cold tree dmg.
3. javazon: still deciding to leave it or not. we need to make a test run. as Morgue (http://diablo.incgamers.com/forums/member.php?u=335991) suggested already, this char will make nuisance dmg in hell 8 players game...
4. crying barb: max bo, war cry to stun the enemies. battle cry as well to lower dmg done to the team.
5. light soso: main char for doing 2nd elemental dmg. max light dmg.

lacking of participants:
6. dudu bear: 20lvl oak sage spirit will add 125 percents of life to the whole team. bear tank with shock wave can easily negate all incoming enemies long enough for the other party members to take them down.
7. pala healer: max prayer for unattended healing, max meditation aura running all the time to make possible for our casters to run smoothly without mana problems. when and if we will get insight rw, we can restat this paladin to smiter or hammerdin.
8. necro: a general for a skelie army - perfect meat shield to stop incoming enemies and get them busy for a long time. lower resist will be nice too, but i dont know how it is working in conjunction with another aura lowering resists runing from pala. no summons for this char, because our team will be exploiting the cold tree a lot, so no corpses will be left on ground.

that's the short summary as i see our run. pls correct or add some criticism :)
5 meat shields with support skills.
2 casters: 1 max cold, 1 max light.
1 left: 1 javazon - too less damage?

i am deciding to let all participants to repick their characters. i can pick the left ones, just not the necro, because i practically didn't play them at all :)

If blizz is taken - then fire, if both taken - then light :)

i made some considerations and decided to get rid of 1 paladin, because conviction aura will be not be needed until at least nightmare and mana problems will be bothering us a lot from the very start of this run. later in the game when we will manage to get insight (late normal or in the nightmare) i will restat healer paladin making him conviction pala :thumbup:

so this 1 spot is free now and it goes to Morgue (http://diablo.incgamers.com/forums/member.php?u=335991) with pure fire sorc.

i think that lighting based amazon > lighting based sorceress for couple of reasons:

with +5 skills and maxed lighting cl cb + lm sorc going to have 4k chain lighitng damage / 7k lighitng damage with crappy fcr bp

amazon on other hand with raw 20 points in CS/LF/LS and 16 points in power strike with all pre req skills (total of 80 skill points used same as in sorc case) her CS will deal 2k damage 7 bolts, that is twice as much as lighting sorc can do vs 1 target, and her LF does almost 1k, but we all know how effective LF is.

Over all, we are keeping lighting based character to mainly kill all CI creeps (come on, blizz annihilates everything non cold immune) so keeping amazon > lighting sorc for me.

experienced light soso always place herself in the spot, from which she can hit max enemies in 1 cast of lightning (pls no chain lightning here - effective only against very weak opponents and this attack is too slow in killing speed imo). in such way she hits 4-5 enemies easily with 7k lightning making effective 28-35k light damage vs 14k dmg (2k multiply 7 bolts) from the amazon side.
yes amazon's LF is very effective, but only when boosted to 40+ from all known sources of +skills.

but as long as we ll have 8 people game and everybody gonna know what they should be doing without any armatures... we ll be fine ;)

and btw, i cant really manage to hit more then 4 enemies in line, only unless i got really lucky or miracle accrued ;)

Ofc I can choose another char; I can see the argument of light ama having neglible fury dmg (I was mainly thinking of her as a boss killer, with ias boosted CS, but I'm not that experienced in 8ppl naked rushes, so it's your call;)

i am planning to make test on saturday or sunday for a couple of hours to see how our team will handle the hell mode in different acts: we just restat our existing chars for 70-75skill points and appropriate amount of stats to mimic 70+ level chars. we will go naked and try to prepare some tactics :thumbup:

that's why we will be doing this test run: to reveal our weaknesses, to work out some tactics. if we will manage to handle the hell mode in different acts totally naked, then we will make it happen again even with crappy items for sure!

Alright, the more realistic the run is going to be, the better. So, my basic build:

20 charged bolt
20 lightning
1 telekinesis
1 teleport
20 lightning mastery
1 static field
1 warmth

That's a total of 64 points. Should I put my rest skill points into static field or just pump lightning synergies? What do you guys say? With +1 a lightning skills amulet I'm looking at a 3 - 2960 lightning.

By the way, for those that are using the fire element (and those that have previous experience) is enchant worth it for this kind of runs?

I can respec my ladder 89lvl meteorb into "naked light" on Sunday, no problem. Sadly, I cannot borrow any chars, as all of them are on the same account.

indeed it's a good point to post the vision of every character.

cleric paladin with conviction aura (meditation aura will be running until nightmare to help mana problems until we will make insight runeword):
20 prayer: main skill for healing party members in early game. synergy for holy bolt.
20 conviction aura: main supporting aura for casters enhancing their elemental dmg by reducing enemy resistance to elemental dmg by up to -125 percents/20 meditation for a huge bonus to mana regeneration in early game.
20 holy bolt: main attack skill making 2,2k-2,4k magic dmg, main skill for healing party members, capable to heal up to 500-900 hit points per second with 75fcr breakpoint.
20 blessed hammer: synergy for holy bolt.
rest in holy shield: to reach max blocking chance.
character completed at 75-80lvl.

tactics:
barb with dudu spamming their stunning attacks in the spearhead of attack. conviction paladin with sorcs right behind them, pala healing or attacking with his holy bolt - depends on situation, sorcs just casting their static and elemental skills. good point for sorcs to tele as scouts toward the movement direction and lure the monsters in packs to the main group, where barb with war cry and dudu with his shock wave stuns enemies and the rest of group just annihilate them with cold/light/fire enhanced elemental attacks.

Should we talk items, too?

Runewords: Stealth, Ancient's Pledge and Leaf are going to be very easy to attain with some countess runs and the barbarian rune quest. Insight is a given once we get the first Sol.
Crafted Items: Caster belts give 5-10% fcr and they require an Ith Rune, a Perfect Amethyst and any Jewel. It can help attain that 63% breakpoint with the Stealth runeword, two fcr rings and an fcr amulet. Especially for the lightning/cold sorceresses, since magefists are probably going to those using fire. There also are safety amulets that provide boni to blocking, but I don't think they're worth it for the melee characters.
Socketables: Is there anything better to put into sockets other than rubies?

Since you didn't mention the necro in the tactics, i expect the following:

20 skellys, 20 skelly mastery
Spamming amp / decrep / lower res
Blood golem?

btw i could use a nightmare rush now, if anyone can whisp me at *butchie2

Just spam Amp, use decrep on Act bosses/super uniques and don't bother with Lower Resist since we will have an conviction paladin.

I would rather use Clay golem cause of the huge life pool and enemy slow down.

pls no amplify damage spell for the necro, because we will have no party members doing melee dmg!
decrepify is a good 1 point wonder.
i suppose to use attract or weaken instead of amplify damage or lower resist.
i am not sure about skeletons/revives yet, because of low chance of corpses laying around after the blizzard storms. that's why we need to make a test run.
to use a clay golem is a good point indeed.
after all, necro experts pls give some insights :)

items:
all party members will be heavily relying on fcr, so any item providing it wil be very welcome: spirit swords, spirit shield for paladin, fcr amulets or rings. ofc we will try to make some crafts for fcr amulets or rings, but a bit later in nightmare, because we will be lacking ingredients: caster amulets, caster belts, blood rings too will be our main targets. safety items will be not worth of it imo.
cheap runewords will be priority like stealth armor for fcr, if lucky lionheart for huge stats boost, lore for +skills, ancients pledge for huge res boost or spirit for fcr and res, strenght for stats, leaf for fire soso, memory stuff still maintaining 63fcr bp, white wand for necro and insight for fcr and huge mana regeneration.
and yes - pdiamonds and prubies will be our main friends when heaving socketables, but no runes for them :)

i assume there will be no point in hunting for high defense rating: fcr, res and max block will keep us completely safe with 225+ percents to life from oak sage and barb bo, making effectively ~2000hp for sosos/necro, ~3000hp for pala, ~4000 for baba and 5000hp for dudu bear.

and no - we will be using no merc, because they will die too fast. i assume that insight voulge will be carried by one of the sosos: still nice fcr to maintain 63fcr breakpoint :)

I belive that Dudu bear can achieve almost 7k life with Bo, Oak and Max Lycan Bear form.

Here is an idea: Lets try to get max resistances for Bear and Barb so they will last longer while tanking.

that's right - for barb it will be crucial to max his natural resistances.
another point for barb: taunt can be very handy to force all enemy rangers/casters not to attack, but to walk towards the barb to attack him - they will be the main headache for our tanks, not the melee monsters, because shockwave from dudu and war cry from barb will take care of them.
and holy bolts from cleric pala will make instant rejuvation for our tanks for sure :jig:

btw i've got ~20 tokens for our test run today :thumbup:

Hm, since melee characters won't do much damage, they can invest in crushing blow. The Black runeword gives 40% and is very easy to make.

to get hit with such a nice black rw you will still need some attack rating right? and without ar pumped through skills or items, we will get very little chance to hit the target...
ah yes - 1 point smite comes to mind: always hits the target! so black rw is on the priority list now :thumbup:

we revealed our weaknesses: mostly souls are making us cry, travi is a pain too. all the rest - doable even without barb's and dudu's help ;)
we need to be more organized too: teleing soso puts the tp at the target area and returns to town. then leader - one of the tanks - say "go" and jumps to tp. then all the party jumps to tp right after him all at once. in such way we will avoid wondering in other areas teammates - doing nothing, knowing nothing, missed in action - that's for sure :D

I think that Dudu (me) should go first because of the huge life pool and Grizzly to tank. I will mostly be needing resistance gear. If we find a Lum, we can make Smoke runeword for 50+ all resistances.

I wouldn't be too worried. I think most of us will be far better equiped than we were today when we reach hell a5 (at least +res wise). Lum shouldn't be too hard to find with the increased rune drops.
For me the test run was a success. I got a decent idea on how to build the necro for the rush.

Don't know how I missed this but don't really use the player matchup forums .
I saw this on the Diii front page so thought I'd check it out .
I have played Singers in the past and have one this ladder , can stun for , well , always :P . Main problems I can see will be with mana .

Anyway , if you need a Singer barb , all I really need are times , how is that going to be coordinated?

pls read the whole thread: mana probs will be avoided early with meditation aura on and insight later. this barb will be not pure singer, just enough points in war cry to make stun, all the rest in bo, battle command, battle cry, natural resistance, some points in taunt as well to avoid casters/rangers from attacking from a far. taunt will be good for using against souls too to avoid those powerful lightning streaks from a distance.

every participant in this rush will give his share to the party: almost all chars will be respec when the situation will demand it; all builds adjusted to make the rush as fast as possible even without gear - practically naked; all founded items, runes, gems will be shared among the teammates to make fcr/res/+skills items thus making our team even more survivable; all excess drops will be shared making profit for all the members of the rush.

Regarding taking barb position: I can do it only if its absolutely necessary, as I have virtually no experience playing with this class, and as a result - I will suck big time as one :coffee:

only somewhat assa has 1st place overall in europe ladder. so we were doing not so bad indeed ;)

i am off for a real life. i pm'ed baba acc for later use to guy, who put very big efforts in making this rush possible :)

Hehe. I'm running with that assa. Anyway, I think you'll catch up cuz I'm on a break now (being the baba). He's not running with a team, just a few friends + randoms. Also we rarely have a dudu in our party.

What lvl are you guys at? I'm at 81 due to a slow start. Our team wasn't very organized. But I'm currently #5 baba! lol :-/
