Hi all,
Decided to load up Diablo 1 to show my wife (who is a d2 fan but never played d1). Using my original CD from 1997 (?) it installed fine but kept asking me to insert the Diablo CD. Clicking yes just made the requester pop back up clicking no gave the error "Can no find DIABDAT.MPQ. So I copied this to the local directory and got the same error still.
Figured it maybe my old CDs so I uninstalled it and went out and bought the battle-chest. Did a fresh install and got the exact same error.
Running this under windows7. Tried lots of different compatibility options just in case that was the problem but didn't seem to help.
Any idea? I'd love to load up my character from 1997 :)
