I saw in a article written on a website related to diablo 3 that the items dropped by a monster will be visible only if you can use them.
Exemple : The barbarian wont be able to see staff or other stuff related to witch doctor probably.
Is that the new way to prevent a bad economy just like in Diablo 2 for some typical items ?
- I think it's a good idea to prevent a bad economy with too much common items.
Anyway, if it's true, I can imagine the other things such as PVP arena with honors/awards, Auction house and much more ...
I cant wait for BlizzCon 2010 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !
Wait... where did you read that?
All I remember is that you can only see personal drops for each monster... But that doesn't mean you don't get to see bows if you're a barbarian...
Ok, can anyone confirm these news from GhostRidah?
- class unusable items won't drop? This is appropriate for lowering junk, but maybe it's bad idea for trade..
- we won't be able to use common objects with each class? Losing an entire range of items is a pity! (Leugi example: bows on barbs)

You probably misunderstood the article. By "visible only if you can use them", they actually mean "visible only if you can loot them". So you'll never see what drops the other players in your group are getting, regardless of what classes are involved.
I think it's a good thing since this way I don't have to be pestered by other players if I find some good item that is useful to them, but that I want to hold on to and use myself (e.g. finding unique barbarian item when I'm playing wizard). Granted, it works that way in reverse too - if they find something that they don't want but is useful to me, I can't see. Hopefully a bit of communication prior to setting out should get rid of most of those problems.

Yeah you are right moonfrost, I think i misunderstood the article with the confusion of ''visible only if you can use them", they actually mean "visible only if you can loot them".
Im sorry :)

pretty sure this was mentioned along time ago. you can still loot items you cant use but you wont see other players loot, pretty much what moonfrost said
