Need 4-sockets Paladin shield

Hi!

On my way to make an Exile runeword, and need a shield (must be 4-sox paladin shield).

As far as I know, eth vortex shields with nice mods are preferred, but I won't be too picky on that, can't afford perfection, so every offer will be much appreciated.

By the way, my final goal is to make an uber-runner (already got grief, guillaume, draculs, verdungo and gore riders), so if you can help with that advice is welcome. It's been hard to get the runes so I don't want to screw with the shield choice .

Oh, and finally, please state an acceptable price for your offered shield. I can pay with a bunch of pgems or runes (not hrs, though... i'm poor, remember? :D).

the best shield will be eth bugged sacred targe or vortex. both are good. however.. you can't eth bug a shield on non ladder.. a non eth shield would be wasted..

why do you want a uber runner anyway? jaja.. there are other and cheaper ways to make a uber runner. I will investigate if it is possible to make one with stuff that can be found in normal or bought from vendors :)

A griswold smiter can also do ubers.. just soc re jewels in armor and helmet.. p diamonds in shield. put ber runes in weapon and fill inventory with as many res charms as possible.

I probably have an extra gris set somewhere btw.

Well, uber-running sounds kind of fun. Right now I have a couple of chars with which I have soloed all the game (normal to hell), and Uber Tristam looks like the next callenge. I have been farming keys, but opened portal once with my sorc and could only tickle Lilith... I was told I needed a smiter and here am I. Also, of course, would like to get some wealth from uber-running.

But I do have all the listed stuff, which is recommended by most uber-running guides, only in need of the shield now. Also got the runes for Exile (except Ohm, but I think I will be able to trade for it), so getting full Griswold, socketing jewels sounds like extra effort/cost/time (specially getting Ber runes!).

Well, those sound kind of difficult (expensive) to get in non-ladder. Really think that using a non-eth shield would be such a waste?

a non eth shield will have like 500 defense and a eth bugged shield will have 1500 defense.. totally waste. ppm me on soria_moria2 or soria_moria let me see what you have etc. maybe I can help you

Sorry for OT but im kinda confused. I thought that ebugging was possible in NL (at least the cubing recipe works).

So ebugging is possible on NL, that is interesting (thanks!). But still I read on Arreat that I have 25% chance of getting 4 sockets when using horadric socketing recipe... and I'm not sure if it is worth risking an eth nice shield (using Larzuks would avoid the risk but would not report bug benefits).

Upped HoZ sounds expensive on NL... and either upped or not HoZ still won't have Exile's ctc life tap, which I have read is the mod for which Exile is used in this uber-runner build... or will dracul's 5% be enough?

So, as I see it, I'm still in need of that 4-sox pala shield, so if anyone has... let me know, please! :D

dude, i have a non-eth zakarum shield 4 sox 39res all. Not the best exile shield, but you can have it for a dest key

That's closed! Not the ideal, but nice and cheap... that's what I was looking for. If I later get a better option, I'll consider then making a new exile (hopefully this one will open the door to lots of wealth!!).

Well, I have just closed a deal for a shield, so it doesn't sound fair to withdraw it now - I'm buying it anyway.

But, can you specify the meaning of "cheap"? Because already got the runes and the shield, so I don't think that an eth-bugged one will be cheaper than that...

Also, I feel kind of "excited" for making my first hr-runeword ^^ (this didn't sound too childish, did it?).

So, now I finally got Exile (and bavadeli's trade was also completed, so I nearly have 2 exiles :D), UT awaits. Just some tkey running or trading and I'm going for it. Thread closed!
