Can a martial arts assassin be a decent MFer? Or are they too gear dependent?

I think I'd like to make a MA sin, using the elemental chargeups and all that good stuff. After checking out all the guides, I noticed that none of them really include any gear that has any MF at all. I used to have a trapsin who did a decent job of MFing, but I have no experience at all with MA.

Is it possible to get 200-250MF and still maintain killing speed and safety on a MA sin? And what runs would she be good at without enigma? Could I do pits/chaos/wsk?

A K/T should have no problem being an effective one.

Most melee builds don't make very good MFers. An elemental sin needs alot of +skill gear to be good. CoH, Shako, and War Travs work without nerfing your character. You could possibly kill off a boss with Phoenix Strike by switching to a Gull/Baba/180 sword and a MF shield, though you might face AR problems.

That's at least 250 MF there without turning yourself into a marshmallow.

Well CoH is a bit out of my price range, but I do have Skullder's, Shako and Travs. That's 200 MF right there, and when you add in a Gheeds and maybe a small charm or two I think that'd be plenty. I also have an Ali Baba which I could switch to for killing bosses as you suggest, that would bring the total over 300 for bosses pretty easily! The only problem will probably be collecting enough res-all charms...

Gull is a faster weapon for the sin.

I like assassins a lot, I have about double the amount of assassin Matriarchs than I have from any other class.

But I have no assassins specifically for MF. I may carry some MF when levelling, but don't kid yourself that any assassin is as effective a MFer than a Blizzsorc. If you are serious about MF, build a specialist.

Well yeah, of course a sin is not going to be as effective as some other classes. I already have 2 MFers that do more than an adequate job.

But I think an assassin would be fun to play, and I find that I just get bored with characters and stop playing them if I wear at least 200+ MF.
