So if I beat all three difficulty levels and hold off on getting the quest rewards (imbuement, socketing and XP), does this mean I can switch between all three difficulty levels with my character (on S or MP) at any time to freely choose when to get those nice rewards?

Just want to make sure I can mosey into the Rogue Camp in N/N/H with Myrmidon Boots, Ogre Gauntlets and a Collosus Girdle before heading to the other guy with a pair of white Berserker Axes sos I can gets me some BotD duel-wielding action after getting a hefty 61.2M XP bonus all at once.

Thanks for the help :coffee:

I don't understand your 2nd paragraph, but for your first question: Yes, you can.

Yes, you can collect your rewards whenever you like, you won't lose them.

I don't understand what you mean with your second paragraph, however. Which single guy gives you 61.2 M XP? Do you mean the ancients? They are three, not one and BTW, defeating them will give one level with the XP bar staying at the same position or a fixed amount of XP, whichever is less.

Edit: 2nd after Pyrates :azn:

Well, my idea is to get the elite stuff and have it imbued by Charsi. Normal for the gloves, Nightmare for the belt and Hell for the boots or whatever. Then I go to the guy for socketing with a berserker axe at the proper level (giving me 6 sockets altogether so I can use Breath of the Dying) and I'll probably bring him a nice suit of armor (like Tyrael's Might) for a socket.

I was under the impression that defeating the ancients and getting the XP reward were two different actions and thus you could hold off on the reward for later.

Killing the ancients immediately gives you the xp (as soon as the last one dies), so you can't really hold out for that.

the ancients give 1xp ea
its the quest reward that gives the exp boost (capped at 1lvl)
Normal: 1.4 million (lv37 to gain max exp)
NM: 20 million (lv67 to gain max exp)
Hell: 40 million (lv75 to gain max exp)

Don't bother saving ancients. It won't do you any good. Only time I heard of people saving it was to cash em in at lvl 98 .... but I'd bet that only 0.001% of people that saved them for that actually played to 98 to do the quests in the end. It can be a long haul to get 99 (legit), and my bet is most would have made a new character before they got that far anyway.
