Hi All,

This is probably a fairly rudimentary question, so I'm sure the answer is pretty straight forward, but for clarity sake, I thought I'd ask?

I've noticed in a lot of the trade forums that people tend to put up their elite white items or eth (no socket) items on the trade lists. People also tend to bid on them, so I guess the question is:

Is the value of a white / no socket item based on using the Laz quest to give it sockets to make it a (in an example) elite socketable item for rune words?
That being the case, is it safe to assume that after adding sockets through Laz's quest you can form runewords with the added sockets (granted the right sockets and runes are available?)

I would imagine the answer is yes, but I thought I'd ask, in the event that its not true, and I pick up a white item, use the socket quest and drop in my coveted runes only to not have the intended results happen!

Also, on a complete unrelated side note, can someone explain crafting/re-rolling to me? I have an idea from what I read off arreats summit, but (particularly) on the crafting side, I don't see the point of making those, blood/power type items? or am I missing something? How does re-rolling work?

Thanks in advance!

Partially. There is also a cube recipe to add sockets, which doesn't add a definitive number, so you're taking a gamble, but it might give just the number of sockets needed.

Yes.

rerolling is generally used for magic items (charms ect..)
3 pgems (any type including pskulls) + magic (blue) item will reroll its stats
keeping its same ilvl

most profitable on ilvl 91+gcs (they can get the of Vita '+41 to +45 to Life' suffix)
with a good prefix (mainly skills)
diablo(94), nihlathak(95) and baal(99) are the only monsters high enough to drop them
