I have noticed not very many use some of the extremely handy custom BBCodes we have here on Diablo: IncGamers.
Of course, people who helps out in forums or in DiabloWiki generally use the Wiki BBCodes (http://forums.diii.net/showthread.php?t=684709), but primarily the VERY handy YouTube code is perhaps a mystery how it works.
Basically, you can embed YouTube and Facebook videos directly in the forums quite easily!
How To Use Video Embed Codes
If you ever used bold or link (http://www.diablowiki.net/) codes, this should be fairly easy to grasp. Basically, you just add the video ID within [YOUTUBE] tags.
The only issue is: You're not supposed to add the whole URL!
Example:
gBtoSVwrK6k
Will look like this:
gBtoSVwrK6k
Unlike link code, you only use the actual video ID. The video ID is the string of code you're shown after "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v= (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBtoSVwrK6k)". in this case, this is the ID:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBtoSVwrK6k (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBtoSVwrK6k)
If the string is very long, the ID is the little string before the ampersand "&".
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBtoSVwrK6k&feature=player_embedded (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBtoSVwrK6k)
The Facebook videos work in the same way. Just use the Video ID, and add it in Facebook code tags:
1274003604326
Will look like this:
