View Full Version : [1.09b Classic] Interest in starting with me?

I'm creating a FO+Meteor+static (might also do 8/9pt ES with 1pt TS) in 1.09b classic, and I'm wondering if anyone else would be interested in joining me. She's going to be almost entirely untwinked (just the 1.06 specral shard my WW barb managed to gamble :)).

If any one is interested, I'll but together some regular 1.09b classic games (cows, questing, etc).

Depends on the time you'd be playing. My schedule tends to be pretty constricting, but I'd join if it happened to be at a time when I could make it.

I'm still running 1.09 Countess for Gul and Vex (1.09 Hell Countess drops those better than 1.12 Countess), so my three 1.09 characters are all available for questing in LoD - I sent you a PM.

Sorry I haven't replied in this thread for a while; I had pretty much given up on it, then realized some people were actually interested :D.

I'm sending aiv and scottee a PM to see if there is still interest. I won't be able to play until next week, after my finals are finished, but then I have a month of almost nothingness.

Ah, it's a shame it's classic, I just started 1.09b LoD too. Any particular reason for classic? Am I missing something that it offers?

HF rushing mainly. If you do the rushes in classic, then you don't have to worry about Baal and static works all the way down to 1%.

However, the benefit of 1.09b LoD is that you'll have access to greater equipment, and the ancients don't have a level cap. I figure most of my time is going to be spent killing bosses during rushes in 1.09b, so static is of even greater value there.

And am I right in thinking that you can just uncheck the Expansion box when creating a character even if you have the Expansion installed? Or does the static thing only work in a classic install?

I have orb/nova sorc at the beginning of hell who can certainly use some NM cowruns to level up (like 20 levels, shes 36 or so atm ;))
