Help! did I do the images correctly? Looks fine, but I have no idea of the placement.

leap attack (http://diablo2.diablowiki.net/Leap_Attack)

Nihlathak (http://diablo2.diablowiki.net/Nihlathak)

Awesome!

Yes, that looks good! I would probably have cropped it a bit and named the image Leap_Attack.jpg, but it looks good. The Nihlathak pic could have use a little cropping as well, but is well placed and descriptive.

Remember that you can make it into a thumb as well, so you have a line underneath you can make a brief description like "Barbarian jumping over a river"

Also, in the forums you can use simple Wiki bbcode (http://diablo.incgamers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=684709) for quick links :)

I think I'm getting the hang of it...although I rely on copy and paste too much. Where do I find the pipe ("|") on my keyboard?

Here's what I did with the Amazon (http://diablo2.diablowiki.net/Amazon#Traits_and_Abilities), under traits and abilities.

The | is top right, under the backspace key, on most keyboards. Right beside the [] keys, which you use a lost in wikis also. Good right pinkie exercise.

A few basic image tips.

Images will left just by default, if you add nothing to the image source info. If you put in any formatting, like a frame, size specification, and caption, they will automatically right just. So in most cases you do not need to use left or right commands.

I updated the one on the barb leap attack (http://diablo2.diablowiki.net/Leap_Attack) page a bit. Here's the code now.

It's easiest to upload full sized images, then use the thumb code to make them appear as you like on the page. Just do what I did above. Pipe |, thumb, then the desired display size, in pixels, with "px" after it. Then another pipe and the caption. Try to keep captions brief so they'll fit in one line. It looks neater that way.

Thanks.

Thanks for the insight!

What happens when a picture exceeds the recommended file size? I uploaded a bigger file and it never showed on the "preview" when I tried to add it to a page. Needless to say, I'll be adhering to the file sizes from now on. There is something wrong with this Griswold file (http://diablo2.diablowiki.net/Image:Griswald_slowed.jpg), even though I resized it.

Don't worry too much about filesize. There might have been an individual problem with that specific image, but normally there's no problem with the resizing.

Feel free to upload large images, that is better over all. However, do spend a minute or two to crop out the user interface (the bubbles, and the potions and that) and crop out other stuff that is unimportant for the shot. The size is ok to be huge, but showing loads of stuff that is unimportant is unnecessary.

Great job so far! :D
