Long story but anyone know the names of television transmitters in Cyprus, please? Near Paphos.

It's the location and name of transmitters. We know that there are three very close to the East of Paphos, but it's hard to get info for there.

A decent map 1:50000 would be equally awesome.

I'll pass that info on and see if it can be used, many thanks. It's a report due on Monday and we're talking URGENT.

I'm trying to dig a colleague out of a hole. She's been trying to get this info for over a week. It's really important. And really it needs to be done today.

Any and all help appreciated, virtual chocky on offer.

Hey. Are you looking for TV stations or for TV Transmission Towers?

The actual locations and names of the transmission towers/transmission masts. :)

You ask really hard trivia questions, Thyiad. Wish I had answers.

Here's a link (http://www.emf.mcw.gov.cy/index.php?option=com_content&task=category&sectionid=4&id=22&Itemid=49).

It's about a survey on electromagnetic fields created near such TTs.

are links from the same website (Department of Electronic Communications) for 2 TTs located inside the Paphos District. The first one i mentioned is near the city.

The first table contains the name, area and exact coordinates of the tower. There is a google earth map also.

I hope this helps.

Wow, this is quite the question. You need someone who can read Greek I think, as the information should be in the annual report of the Republic of Cyprus Department of Electronic Communications, which has some English on their website(that I used), but the report is in Greek. Good luck.

CM

And I need to read more faster....

I've found a site that may be the jackpot you're looking for: http://fmscan.org

And here's a page from that site that has a list of Paphos TV transmitters:
http://fmscan.org/net3.php?r=t&m=m&itu=CYP&rg=kyp-pap

Each of those links for the networks brings up a map with graphical representations of the transmitter coverage areas, and underneath the map there's a link that will show a list of all the transmitters.

Hope this helps, and good luck!

That probably saved my colleague's job.

That got me a few points. :)

Many thanks for all of the links, guys. They really really helped.

The only thing we still can't find is the NAME of the transmitter which we know exists. It's to the south west of Pano Arcimandrita near the road to Souskiou. It can be seen on multimap but no one seems to have a name for it!

Any final thoughts. Any cypriots around who want to sight-see? :D
