I've been using this site for my Diablo news since way before Diablo 2 even launched. The ads on the site keep getting more 'n more annoying, and the news is no longer the #1 source and usually even days late.. I'll be removing it from my favorites.

Sorry, but the latest ads with the annoying sound i have to mute during every visit was last straw for me.

I would be curious to see even 1 news item that we didn't post virtually as soon as it hit the internet, and far sooner than any other d3 sites?

As for the ad, yeah that wolverine dvd one with the instant sound is annoying. We don't get to pre-screen the ads; they are handled by an agency, and once in a while one comes in that causes problems and we have to get it removed from the rotation.

Readers are encouraged to report such problems to us; which ads you see depend on your location and sometimes other factors, so just because you're seeing something all the time doesn't mean the admins are aware of it at all.

We are looking into the advert you mentioned. As flux said, any problems with those can be reported to them.

As for being first with the news. We are in 96% of the cases - first and most thorough. I say that with complete confidence.

I only use Diii.net for all my D3 news needs. Hell, I even have it on my blackberry. (the rss feeds.)

I daresay this is one of the most, if not the most comprehensive D3 sites out there now.

Back in the early Diablo 2 days, I worked for a site called Diablo Forge and I would say only about 25% of the time, may be less did we get news before diabloii.net. In fact, more than half the time I would be quoting a diabloii.net news post and giving credit to them.

This site has always been on top of what you need Diablo.

You mean the RSS works on a blackberry? See, I need to get up on all this technology stuff. I've only starting texting a couple months back, who knows when I'll get to surfing on a mobile. I bought a PSP when they came out but haven't ever explored its wireless capabilities. What a waste of a good gadget.

I know this is my first post and I am new to this site but I just have to say something.

The new Flashpoint full page add was/is/could be my last straw. I have been coming to this site for my D3 news and really enjoy the punctuality of the posts, plus the bonus articles by guests. But, if full page "Skip this Add" advertisements are going to become a regular thing I am going to have to say goodbye to DIII.net :(

Just to make this post and get to the forums I had to click "Skip this Add" about five times before it went away!

Hi Kirri

Glad you are enjoying the site. The ad is actually capped so you should not be getting more than once a day. Sometimes if your cookies for the site have got messed up it redelivers the ad. You should certainly not be being flooded with them.

Thanks for letting us know though, always good to get feedback if people are having issues.
