So we know that characters from D2 will be making an appearance in D3, at least some of them will. The question is who?
I think anya would be a good candidate to make a return, after talking to deckard cain in D2LOD it really got the juices flowing.
deckard cain on anya:
"Though the elder council of Harrogath is gone there are many capable young leaders to take their place. Anya certainly has enough courage and intelligence to lead them all, if they can survive this catastrophe."
Assuming she survives that would make her 20 years older, Much more capable of leading.
But when you talk to anya herself she sings a different tune.
anya on anya:
"Now that the elders are all dead, I don't know who will guide our people through this dark time. I was to be next in line after my father. But this burden is too great for me to shoulder alone.
We are a people of strong blood. i shall do what I can and let fate do the rest."
She seems unsure of herself, perhaps due to her young age or the fact that her world is literally crumbling around her. I think both.
Its a tossup. Will she return to lead the barbs in D3? or in another role? The barbs are scattered and shaken, does this mean she does not return at all?
I think anya will be in d3, but she may be avoiding her past roaming the lands like a strider/aragorn and only her interaction with a playable character can bring her back to lead the barbs after her father.
