During making of diablo 2 I've read alot about houses. Finally Blizzard didn't create this stuff.
I am wondering, if in diablo 3 option of buying house in Tristram or any other regions could be possible to make.
Bashiok, what do you think about this idea?
Other people, what do you think about this idea?

It would be cool, if we could use this option also on single player mode:wink2:

DiabloSims3? Why would you want a house? What would you be doing in it? O_o

For a house to be useful the characters must have some cons like need to sleep , need to eat etc. to satisfy them in the house.

And do what? paint it pink?
I really don't see the point, not to mention the difficulty with the random player. What if three people by the same house at the same place. then you need to have 3 houses on top of each other if they enter the same game?
Perhaps they could expand the stash to include some of the option you would like to see. I however wander what option you might be after. I for one never had the need to buy a house in any game (not even in oblivion).
P.S. You do know Bashiok doesn't post in these forums and that he probably doesn't read here. You should head over to the bnet forums although I fear you won't find what you are looking for.

...(not even in oblivion).
I shamefully admit that I spent hours in oblivion looking for skulls and gathering torches to decorate my house evil...
I don't care for the house idea lol.

If it had some non-trivial functionality, I'd be in favor. The most obvious possibility being a larger and/or cross-character stash. Would make a nice quest reward :)
I don't see an issue with randomness... it would presumably be in a city, and they are presumably not going to be random. You'd need a way to get there quickly from any area, of course... will there be some kind of town-to-town portal system?
But guys, just think of how many cool decals you could put on your wall from your SC2 and D3 victories!
Okay, sarcasm off...
Being a huge advocate for player housing in WoW, I have to say, in regards to houses in D3. No... don't do it. Also I'd like to add a "why?" I mean lets be honest, in an MMORPG player housing can serve as a huge gold sink and provide countless ways to customize(read: min/max) your characters, but in D3? What purpose would it serve? You could maybe have a bigger stash, but with items taking up no more than 2 spaces vertically I don't see much point. For houses to exist in a game of this nature they would have to serve some kind of purpose to benefit your character in the long run, not just be a place to show off your prettiest items. If that is all it is then it's really just a mini-game within the game, and not even one that is particularly fun.

I don't want to build a house and decorate, I just want a larger stash.
I'd spend 100,000 gold if a could by a bigger treasure chest/stash.
I might even spend 1,000,000 gold if I could buy a house that could store all of the set items I find but can't use cause I only have 1 or 2 pieces of the set.
