I finally got the chance to watch the extended game play footage (http://www.shackvideo.com/?id=15051) and to my delight I saw that two handed swords will still be in the game (why would they be removed in the first place?). Watch 4:55 - 5:48 for some multiplayer and two handed sword greatness.

So to anyone who played the demo, seen specific screen shots/videos; can the barbarian still dual wield two handed swords?

Thanks.

EDIT:
I just noticed the Barbarian Forum... ┌( ಠ_ಠ)┘

Sorry.

They are adding more restrictions on what item is for what class (i.e. Shields, etc), so as a barb even caster daggers weren't usable in the BlizzCon demo. I didn't see any big Swords drop but polearms were 2h-Only. I doubt 2-H swords for other chars would be 1h for the barb.

It's dumb if you can't. You could in Diablo II for a damage penalty, and that should still be the case.

That's what I'm hoping for.

It was such a great little feature. Knowing that your barb can use a 2h sword in one hand. Makes you feel that much more powerful.

I don't think they can. Take a look at this entry on the DiabloWiki: http://www.diablowiki.net/Juggernaut_Skill_Tree#Two-Handed_Weapon_Specialization
