Go to the official characters page and select Korean as the language. You will see the monk standing to the far right once the page loads. Clicking in him links to a blank page.

Yeah, our beloved Mods noticed that too. It's on the main page.
I hope it's not true, since he's very disappointing. But it looks too good to be fake.. =/

Cool, but also i find it strange that they would release it on the Korean site before official announcement at blizzcon, it is clearly not a leak as it is on their own site and looks too polished and believable to be a joke by Blizz.

In what way do you find him disappointing, i think he looks cool and interesting.
Not to mention we really don't know much about how he fights or what skills he will use besides using a metal staff for combat.
Personally i think he is a very fitting replacement for the role of the D2 paladin, a melee fighter with lots of varied buffs and auras (i guess he too will have auras and buffs)

Someone must have noticed- changing to Korean doesn't make the Monk appear for me.

Disappointing? How so? I can't imagine that I was the only one hoping against hope to see a Monk class. The fact that they said that the Barbarian would be the only returning character to the series had me rather discouraged being that I have never liked the class and because I love Monk classes. The idea that I wouldn't see a playable Monk until the first expansion at the earliest was what I found to be most disappointing, until now that is.

I'm very excited. The two remaining classes I've been predicting we'll see were the Monk and the Ranger.
Hopefully I go 2 for 2!

I'm quite happy with the Monk class - it has something genuinely new to offer. (in terms of the Diablo games) That said - I hope the abilities unveiled by Blizzard are only 'the tip the iceberg'. (same with the other classes too) I want real choice - and a wide variety of different attack/defence strategies...
This leaves is with one more character slot to fill...
I've seen people say that - apart from the Barbarian - all classes in DIII would be 'new'... Nevertheless I'm hoping the Paladin will be implemented somehow - even if in an expansion... With the Monk we have a 'holy class' from the 'Eastern Tradition'... Something similar from 'Western tradition' - eg: the Paladin - should also be provided... And if that class is not going to appear in the original release - then it should be provided in an expansion... We really should be quite adamant about this - an expansion including the Paladin would probably sell big - because it would be such a popular choice...
Ranger in the tradition of LOTR...
To conclude - if there's to be no Paladin in the original release, I see there's some support of a Ranger class as an alternative... But if it's implemented I'd like tp see it modeled loosely on the 'LOTR' mode - that is 'a force for good'.... Some people like moral ambiguity - or even 'dark themes' in their characters... But for those of us who prefer to play a character more clearly affiliated with 'the light': we should have choices too....
Please everyone comment on this and make it clear to Blizzard what you want...
I may be wrong but isn't the Monk essentially the holy/lawful good class for D3? Sure, he's no knight in shining armor. However, he is nonetheless spiritual.

The point is that while both Monk and Paladin could be considered 'holy' - they are still greatly different paradigms. Specifically - one is inspired by Eastern traditions; and the other by Western traditions. One is a holy armoured Knight trained in the use of heavy armour and weapons. And the other is unarmoured - with unrivaled mental discipline, channeling of spiritual energy, and specialising on unarmed combat.... Since they are so different - I believe strongly there is room for both paradigms. Dungeons and Dragons can accommodate both Paladin and Monk classes - so I believe D III could as well.
If we don't get a Paladin class for the initial release - Pls Blizzard incorporate one in the expansion...

All this is true however, they are nonetheless similar in the aspect that both are holy characters where as Blizzard has gone on record saying that they are aiming to create a small cast of characters who are as distinct from one another as possible. While this does not mean that a Paladin-type class and a Monk class cannot coexist, it does make it less likely to happen. The fewer things the classes have in common, the better. This is in contrast to D&D where the much higher number of classes and the ability to subclass and dual-class creates more of a continuum of characteristics so that each class shares features/aspects with other classes (which is not what Blizzard wants).
