The Guardian idea is sort of a revised druid.
It can use both ranged attacks Holy Spells(tree 1) or melee attacks, Staff Sword(tree2)(if anyone can think of a better name then thankyou). And then the summoning skill tree, Spirits.
weapons The ranged weapon: Crosses Think of a bow that drains your mana instead of arrows. Crosses come in the different elements and give bonuses from the element.
Now for the melee weapon Im kind of thinking of a sword/staff(a bladed staff)
For the holly spells:
1: Holy Water has a curse like use but deals X holy damage per second
For the melee it has two choices: you can focus on the Staff half or the sword half however down the tree you can find skills that utilize both halves.
1 Wide strike: sword: A weak skill that does minor damage to ajacent foes (dmg and foes dmged upgrade)
2 crushing blow: staff: stuns and cripples foe for X amount of time minor dmg
3 Whirling strike Both: Med dmg attack that causes bleeding and cripples to ajacent enimes
Spirits: are slightly different from most summoned creatures, they cannot be damaged by eneimes but are damaged by their own attacks They start of with slightly low hp and a high % of dmg returned but as you improve them the have more hp and less % of dmg returned.
1 Fallen comrade: resurect allies corpses at 50 percent of their power.
2 Forgive sins: resurect a enemy that returns its damage based on it's lvl
