"Redirect"?

A couple times since yesterday, tabs I have open in these forums have been hijacked and redirected to commercial sites.

Anyone else had this? Is that a new advertising thing the mods have put in for revenue? Or is it code in a banner that's hijacking the page?

Or do I just have malware? :)

I don't know, but Norton has reported having blocked an attack by the site (mostly the wiki I think) several times.

Where are you based location wise?
Have you checked for malware because it sounds like that could be the problem?

As far as we aware you should not be getting anything like and this is so far the only report of being redirected.

Let me know the above and I can start digging.

-Spybot doesnt show anything...and it hasnt happened in a while, so I dunno....

If it does again I'll update this post I guess :) Maybe I just inadvertently clicked some banners while changing tabs or something

It's happening to me too. Just had to close Internet explorer to get out of it and come back. It opens a window asking me if I'm sure I want to navigate away from this page. Problem is, it doesn't matter what you click, you're going to be redirected.

Clicking the x at the top right to cancel the window is the only way to avoid the redirect but it keeps coming back. It keeps you from doing anything else until you deal with it too. I live on the gulf coast, if that helps. It's not Malware on my end, it's browser based. AVG, Spybot, Adaware show all clear.

I'll try to remember to take note of which ad is on display next time it happens.
