Class Name:Insect King, Insect Master, Entomor:
Description:
A somewhat summon based class (like necromancer), that focuses on insects. I think this would be great since there is a huge population of bugs big and small in Diablo 2.
Origin:
This character could be explained as a magician that specializes in influencing and controlling hordes of insects. He/She would have been sent into the desert of Lut Gholein to tame the insects that have been overrunning the desert.
Skills: (I won't list tiers since I'm not sure how the skill tree will be laid out)
Locus Swarm: Similar to the various swarms in D2, except in your control. This would be more like a projectile attack where the swarm would gather at the hand of the player, then shoot at the enemy, going through all enemies in it's path and damaging them. Not too strong aganst single enemies but adds up against many enemies, and may be given poison attributes.
Giant Beetle/Giant Worm: Basically Summon versions of the monsters in D2. The Beetles can be upgraded to have electrical properties.
Carapace: A shell builds up over the player to decrease damage from enemies. A pretty simple spell that gives you a boost of defense for a short time at the expense of some mana.
Flying Slash: A move in which the Insect Summoner calls forth hordes of insects that lift him up and boosts him for a flying attack. This does increased damage to enemies and may help the player jump over obstacles.
Ant Mound: A mound erupts at the player's command that spews forth ants that damage all enemies on the ground in it's effect zone, and drag any dead enemies into the mound, which may lead to bonuses for the player.
Mosquitos: Sends out mosquitos to drain life and magic from enemies.
That's about it, as you can tell, I haven't settled on a name, and would like suggestions on that as well as different skills.
