So I started playing again recently. I needed a Uber killer so i decided to make an Assassin (as I had a couple ladders ago). I decided to try something as I'm building her up. I don't know if this idea is original, but essentially I'm working with an Elemental Kicker.

Disclaimer: this isn't necessarily a complete build thread .. mostly just discussion. Also .. this if for FUN =)

At the moment I'm using the following:

Dream Helm
Dream Shield
Duress Armor
Gore Rider Boots
Lawbringer Sword

Merc:
Infinity
Leviathan (because an eth cv's str req is 200 .. curses!)
Delirium

First off .. I know that the Lawbringer has 'Slain Monsters Rest In Peace' and this is a no-no because of the necessity of using Death Sentry, but hear me out (this is a temporary weapon anyways). But it has supercool mods which include elemental damage, -% monster defense, cast decrep .. and others.

Offense:
Lawbringer does 15-210 fire damage and 130-180 cold damage. Level 30 Holy Shock from the Dreams adds 1-1668 (i think) lightning damage as well as the 1-200ish area of effect pulses. This elemental damage placed on the foot of 3-frame kicks (the fastest attack in the game iirc) does considerable damage to a target. When my merc's conviction aura is around, all that damage is even more significant. Also, Lawbringer has -50% enemy defense, and Infinity has -83% enemy defense (regardless of how this is calculated .. sucks to be my enemy). This coupled with the extremely high +AR% with dragon talon gives the assassin extremely high chances of hitting the monsters. Let us not forget about the physical damage, crushing blow, and venom which all contribute significantly to the power of each kick. Despite the Lawbringer's "Slain Monster Rest In Peace," my Death Sentries still find bodies to blow up (either from my merc/shadow killing something or maybe the kills by my HS's pulse don't rest in peace? i dono).

I plan to switch to an Azurewrath when I can, if I need to make use of Death Sentry. I'll lose ctc decrep and -50% enemy def, and good def. against missiles .. but i'll gain an insane amount of magic damage (half of which is unresistable), a +skill and attributes to boot.

Defense:
The assassin's defense is semi-unorthodox. Easy battles are those where I cast cloak of shadows on a party, and just pick em off. Others are more dangers, but also more fun. The dual Dreams have a 19% or 20% chance to cast Confuse (depending on how it's calculated .. which i dono). My merc's helm can cast confuse, mind blast, and terror. Also, my merc has a Holy Freeze Aura. Lawbringer casts decrepify. My crow control is chaotic but effective. The confuse is cast very often, and thus the attention on me, my merc, and shadow is greatly reduced. I have excellent crowd control .. though that is not suggestive, as my crowds actually go wayy out of control .. which is a supergood thing. Also, if I need to run away there's still a good chance that confuse will be cast on whatever's chasing me .. and that'll pretty much stop em in their tracks.

The main bane of my assassin is her low life pool .. i think i have 932 .. i could probably use a cta

I'll end by saying playing this assassin is SUPER FUN, albeit a little chaotic (i should probably post a screenshot)
