What are some good uniques to up? I was wondering if I should up my titan's even though it's not eth, but it does however have 199%ed.
I was also wondering if I can up runewords since both seem to have a gold/brown name. Like runeworded mage plate > same runeworded archon plate.
1. arrats face is a good one to up if you or your merc have the str for the elite ver
others are good, just be sure to look at the base str/dex reqs of the upgraded item
2. runewords canot be upgraded, only rares and uniques
Ribcracker. Witchwild string if you are poor. IIRC HoZ for smite damage?

The 199% ED non-eth Titans is worth the upgrade. Itīs extra damage and hassle-free from being depleted and having to wait to recharge.
Runewords canīt be upgraded, only uniques and rares can be upgraded(expensive though), no other item type.
1.
perf Magefists
Eth Skulder
HoZ
perf Viper
imho
Well I think that armors upgrades aren't worth the runes, unless it's for PvP or unless you are rich.
Defense isn't so much important in PvM.

If I had an eth Shaftstop, I would upgrade it in any case.
I have perfect T-God's, perfect Goreriders and perfect Duriel's (and 19x% eth GA) and I'm going to upgrade a few of them to elite. The alternative would be keeping all my Lem and Ko runes and I doubt that they will be useful in crosstrades when the ladder has reset.

Goldwrap is also commonly upped, for the extra potion slots.

Yes, but you can upgrade items to exceptional on NL (which is enough to get maximum slots), only upping uniques to elite doesn't work on NL.
Edit: for some reason I thought this was about which items to upgrade before a reset, so half of the above is missing the point .
I upgraded my gores, for more kick damage ;)
