Leveling weapons?

Hi,

Ive started playing LOD recently, my flatmate noticed it, and now we are playing through the game together. I can purchase him some CHEAP gear.
What are the good weapons to give to a level 12 fireclaw druid? I've been playing classic mostly and I used some random rares, which I found at normal diablo (as I LLD), but Im not sure what shoul my friend use, and which would be benefitial for a druid. Currently I gave him a Rixot keen sword, but I think he needs something better (dimok's oak? blood crescent?). I will try to get him a ribcracker, but ribcracker requires level 31..

Also, sorry for posting in the wrong forum - but does anyone know where can I find claws with 3 sockets for my low level amazon, I want to make that cheap runeword, which gives open wounds.

Claws with 3 sockets? Amazons can't use claws...Assassin only :-/

As far as low level weapons goes, use junk/hellforge hammer until level 9, then I switch to Civerbs Cudgel which you can use until 24, then ancients, then baal runs and you don't have to fight from then until level 70+ :p

I always used the weapon with the highest attack speed. Very few creatures are going to be immune or heavily resistant to fireclaw in normal so the particular weapon doesn't really matter.

A strength rune word Amn + Tir for crushing blow on bosses, put it in any 2 socket melee weapon with high base attack speed.

Or whatever CB item, doesn't have to be a weapon.
