As the title suggests I'm trying to decide between Hotspurs and Aldurs on a hammerdin/liberator/smiter type.
Both give ABOUT the same amount of fire resist (45)
Main difference is 15 life from hotspurs + 15 to max fire resist
versus
+50 life from Aldurs.
Aldurs has 40% faster r/w but I'm under the impression that when using charge/vigor (or just charge) fr/w doesn't affect charge speed.
Please enlighten me if I am wrong about this.
I'm leaning towards hotspurs because of the +15 max fire resist which would help alot against fire sorcs.
HOWEVER, I'm not sure how effective this +15 is going to be. Aldurs gives 35 more life / more defence so is better vs anyone except fire sorcs/ the occassonal fire druid.
No, I cbf switching in hotspurs for use against fire casters. I want to stick with one.
Waterwalks, though they do provide +5 max fire res and a massive amount of life/dex do not add any hard fire resist, thus unfortuneatley they are not an option (need fire res)
I think my question can be summed up as: how effective is +15 max fire res?
thanks
