i'm just putting out and idea for a new character class that i would think, if blizzard improved it, would be a very fun and original diablo class. the character would controll scarrabs, sand, make mumies of his dead enemies and wear a traditional egyptian gold-blue head set. he would replace the full on summoner-long range class. maybe bow weilding, or some new crazy ranged weapon only for his class (like kataras for assassins). some mix of an ancient mechanic-crossbow. and, as he progresses, his appearance changes from bronze, to silver, to gold, when he gets better armors. his three skill trees could be the three gods he could worship. one may be a very nature-based summoning god, as the others could revolve around some snake-poison-bone god and a shape shifting god. the nature based skill tree could be the summoning of good natured stong minions, while the snake death god's skill tree would focus on more scarrab, mummies, necromancer magic. and the shape shifting god skill tree would allow this pharoah-necro god to become half spider, or serpent or a swarm of scarrabs. and to make it not so connected to our times and pharoahs, they could be the ones who created the pyramids. cuz, historically, the egyptians didn't build the pyramids. who did then? this crazy new class of diablo people did. i wish that blizzard would highly consider it though i doubt it. their characters are problably set. nothing that couldn't be in the expansion though, hope blizzard will read this.

feel free to put your ideas for this character on
Very interesting.
The 1 thing the I really liked is naming each Tree after an Eygptian God.
Let me summarize my thoughts....
The Bad:
1. I can't see Range, especially Bows, fit into this char.
2. This sounds too much like a Summoner, which is the WD department. I don't belive Blizz will make a 2nd Summoning focused char in the Core, but maybe in an Expansion.
3. I don't know how good Eygptians fit in Diablo's Lore, but that's not a REAL problem (especially since I don't know a lot about D's Lore anyway).
The Good
1. Very awesome variety:
* Summoning (mummies- as the new skeletons, scarrabs, swarms, maggots etc)
* Shape Shifting skills shounds perfect for this char
* Spell Skills. This char has many many option for cool spell. Sand Storms, Blackness, Plauge just from the top of my head.
2. Very cool apperance. I mean, Pharoah like char? I would so play that.
3. Tree Diversity. Naming each Tree after an Eygptian God won't strict you to a certain area for spells (only range/only SS/only close melee) and instead will let you have SS skills, summoning and spell in one Tree. This is great and most of all- perfect for D3
The Ugly:
I actually REALLY like this char idea. However, the one, big, main, drastic problem of this char is that it looks (for me, at least) very much, or should I say, TOO MUCH, like the WD. And this is a very big problem.

Yeah, i agree, but blizzard needs a ranged character. thanks alot for your advice. very thoughtful, maybe leave out the summoning god for more ranged attack skills, you know? also d2 had the necromancer and the druid as both summoners. the witch doctor is a summoner melee type, not one who would stay at the back of the fight. this pharoah thing, would also be like a necromancer, since the wd is so colorful. the pharoah would have black-red thorns coming from his golden armor. he would aslo probably float, and his feet would not be moving unless he was fighting. but being high royalty he would be all high and mighty. thanks laZer for your great advice

I think the ranged would work better if there were chairots in the game. For me I like the Summoning but didn't like the Shape shifting. But like lazer said, they won't have another summoning class in the Core 5 and I feel if they do add one to the expansion it will be the necro.
