Help with Aiming Tornadoes?

Hey guys,
I've been experimenting with some characters in single player (meaning i create custom ones using a hero editor with gear I could feasibly get on battle.net to see how they play) and I've been trying out a windy. It's quite satisfying to see several tornadoes rip through packs of monsters, but those tornadoes are hard to aim at a specific monster. Basically all I do is hold left-click on whatever I'm aiming at - is there some better way to aim a tornado at something specific? If there are only a few guys left I resort to getting into Melee range, but I'd rather not do that as I'm not planning to get max block or anything.

aim beyond it. never click on your target. while holding down click to cast tornados w/o moving the mouse, they'll continue to go to the same place. if that place is wrong and you're clicking on a monster, you're stuck unless you release and move your character. with the clicking beyond them method you can do a fire hose technique adjusting your aim until you get them to go where you want. also standing really, really close will generally net you tornados to their collective faces, but since you dont want that (and it's not adviseable really unless you're prepared to take hits) go with fire hosing them down.

ultimately it comes down to practice, practice, practice.

I like to get pretty close to single, remaining enemies, and if they're extra strong, cursed, and aura enchanted with might/fanaticism, well, I can usually take 1 hit before I have to back off and heal. If you want to just go in and finish them off quickly, I'd advise lots of FHR stuff and 75% block, and oak sage. Also, let your merc and grizzly get in first so they aren't necessarily hitting you (a lot of monsters switch off when you get close, but this still helps).

try putting tornado on your right click. i dunno about you but i have a much easier time aiming when tornado is in my right click.
