i think if you use an AI altering ability like confuse or mindblast, it'll count them as dead. merc using delerium?

what i encountered once was "one monster left" with none around. i mean we all miss one on occasion, but the time i'm refering to we had four d2 veterans scouring the place, never found the remainder.

It happened on classic with a sorceress (no items or skills I think that would have caused it), so it is kinda weird. I shall attribute it to lag then

Watch carefully dark corners.
It seems impossible to happen, but sometimes those Flayers really hide themselves in the dark corners. It´s like they´re dead scared or something. More than usual even.
