New to sin

Hi. I've been playing D2 since just before the 1.09 patch. I have mostly built Zons and have never built a sin. I'm starting a sin and have a couple questions.

I keep hearing the term "Fools" claws. I've googled this and haven't found anything very useful. Can anyone explain exactly what this is and how I might find one.

Next, How does one choose between dragon tail or dragon talon? I googled this as well and found a lot of info.....but it's pretty confusing. Any insight here would be appreciated as well.

I play nl sc only and i have no idea what type of build i will pursue. I'm just trying get all my ducks in a row.

Fool's is a magical prefix that can spawn on magical and rare weapons (for sins, claws):

Fool's + (16.5 Per Character Level) 16.5-1633.5 To Attack Rating / + (0.5 Per Character Level) 0.5-49.5 To Maximum Damage (Based On Character Level)

Sins want Fool's claws mostly for PvP WWing, as main claw. The huge attack rating boost is real handy. Check out the various guides on Ghosts and WW/Trap builds for more info :)

Dragon Tail is best paired up with Tiger Strike, and does AoE fire damage based on released physical damage on target. It's a slow attack that can pack some serious pain, but is not an overly fast way to kill stuff in Hell due to the fact that it needs charge ups. Physical and fire resistances of monsters both slow down this skill quite a bit.

Dragon Talon is best used alone (as far as charge-up skills and finishing-moves are concerned). It's a fast melee attack a bit like Strafe, and is mostly used to rapidly deliver Crushing Blow, Venom, other elemental damage and Ctc's. It excels at single-target killing.

wow. I didn't know that anything like that dropped in magic or rare items. I can see why they're good for pvp. Looks like they'd be good for some pvm builds too.


Thanks for the info on the kicking skills. If i build a kicker it'll be talon for sure.
