using both infinity and insight

Im using a pure light sorc and was trying to decide if it would be worth it to use both of these runwords. Either, having the merc carry infinity and use a staff with +light skills for insight or have infinty as the sorc weapon (for the -light resist) and have my merc use insight.

If you have any suggestions or alternatives please post.

Wield the Infinity yourself if its what you're going to do....Insight's only really good for the Meditation aura, which your merc will supply for you just fine. The -55 Light Resist wont apply to you, of course, if your merc's wearing it.

Really, though, you have to ask if you'd rather have Insight + Infinity, or Infinity on your merc plus Spirit and HotO or something on you. Thats 2 extra +skills, and FCR, FHR, and resists you're giving up. Is that going to help you more or less than the -55% LR and Meditation aura?

If you want to go Infinity on yourself, then having Insight on your merc is probably the only useful thing he can carry, yes. If you want your merc to carry Infinity, then Insight probably isnt the best option for you, though.

If you can afford Infinity, Insight shouldn't be needed as you will have enough mana from SoJs and BO. It's nice for ES builds, of course, but for general PvM I suggest just ditch the Insight altogether.

for most lit sorcs, really you can get by with just an infinity. the only time i'd think about using both would be on a nova sorc.
