'spirit' for blizzwaller

is a good idea getting str high enough for a 'spirit' on a blizzwaller?
it must be made in a monarch right?
im looking for +skills to raise blizzard damage more

I don't know anything about a blizzwaller, aside from the two obvious main skills, but I'm of the general opinion that a weapon/shield is better than a staff. Assuming that, there really isn't much competition for a shield on a caster. I think Lidless might be the only other shield with FCR & +skills so that might be an option. I always get spirit though.

If you have some wiggle room in your other gear you might try to find some things with +str. My fcr ring and my boots both have some str on them. I also use some +5 str large charms. I'm far from base str but it does save me about 50 points.

As far as what to make it in, it CAN be made in other shields, however the monarch has the lowest strength req of any 4os non-pally shield.

Spirit is pretty much the choice for any build that isnt a self-Infinity wielder or a melee sorc. Its pretty much always worth the str investment, Spirit just has too many awesome mods - +2 skills, FHR, resists, mana, FCR...

i went for max block on this blizzwaller and i understand spirit is terrible at that.... so i guess i will go with other (smaller) shields actually.... like visceraunt mosers etc
