Title says it all really. I log in, then it stays logged in while I browse, but if I close the tab then come back later in the day I'm no longer logged in. I have the 'remember me' box ticked and I have never encountered this issue before with any other forum.

Latest version, 9.64

Any ideas?

You have to tick the box and have the browser remember it as well. Also, you might have to log back in if you access this site from another computer. It's not always the case with me, though.

My guess is cookies. Those things normally work with cookies where the cookie is the identification.

The other option is to let Opera remember passwords/filled in form. Should be possible without a problem.

So dig in those option and look for some boxes to check. There should be one to allow cookies (Note that a better way is to let only some site put cookies, yet how you do that, I don't know.)

I make use of the Opera easy login system, so I just have to press ctrl+enter to log in again. And that ticks the 'remember me' box every time.

It's not a huge issue but I figured it's worth looking for a possible solution.

edit: I had cookies set to 'accept cookies only from the site I visit' - just changed that to 'accept cookies' for diablo.incgamers.com/forums and diablo.incgamers.com, will see if it makes a difference.

I also have this problem with Firefox 3.5 on Windows 7 (also had it on XP). The cookies expire way too fast, I have to log in five or more times a day and it's quite annoying.

It's not me because the problem persists after a hard drive format, cookie file deletion, different browsers, etc. Please fix it, I'm tired of ticking "remember me" only to have it forget me in half an hour.

I think this is the first time I haven't auto-logged out, both FF 3 and 3.5 in XP. Usually I have to re-log in at least once or twice a day, but I check this morning and holy crap! I'm logged in.

Then again, it almost seems erratic. I don't have any special cookies settings, yet sometimes I stay logged in, sometimes I get booted, regardless of my last login time.

I've had this problem come and go, usually during when the forums are being upgraded. Ctrl + Enter quick login is what I use during those times.

Update: It seems that when I come to the forums by typing in http://diablo.incgamers.com/forums I remain logged in, but when I go to http://diablo.incgamers.com and click the forums link from there, I have to log in again.

That has happened to me twice since I noticed it.

edit: Also, the logo at the top left of any forum page including the index immediately logs me out whenever I click on it. Probably because it's incorrectly linking to http://forums.diabloii.net , which redirects but causes logout.

this "fixed" the problem for me. As long i go the the forums with the http://diablo.incgamers.com/forums link i stay logged in. Whenever i enter the forums through the front page i`m logged out again.

Now I can't even access the forums using Opera unless I use a transparent http proxy - doesn't go past 'looking up hostname'.

Works fine in Firefox with no proxy.
