Hi people I'm having loads of trouble with the ubers. I can't seem to scratch them. I have barely any trouble with meph but diablo spawns what seems like millions of venom lords, is there some way to stop them from spawning so many minions? And baal just drains away all my mana without me leeching it back fast enough. Not to mention the spectres contribute to that as well.

My gear so far
Kira
Lastwish phaseblade
Laying of hands
nosferatu
mara
dl ring
soj
stormshield
COH ap
upped goreriders

I'm lvl 89 and with my level 23 enchant I have over 10kish AR. Is there some special tactic I should be employing? So far I just run up and kick and mind blast occasionally to keep the venom lords away from me. But it hasn't worked out at all, got so frustrated I just exited and wasted my keysets :P Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.

I just made myself one myself so I am by no means an expert on the build. I'm not having any trouble on Ubers and she is 87 so far. A few things about your gear though...
First, the ED to Demons from Laying of Hands doesn't apply to your kicks (Same goes for the ED to Demons on your CoH). It talks about it later on in the warrior monk thread uptop. I would also replace your Kiras with Guilliaumes Face. I use Guilliaumes and Last Wish...reaching that higher CB cap helps tons imo. I see you use COH and SS, I haven't tried that combination though I know some people use it. I'm a fan of Fortitude and Phoenix myself (yay 700% ED! normal ED does apply to kicks).
What are your skills like?

one point in all the shadow skills, lightning traps max shock web, ls, ds. Do you just run up and keep kicking? I doubt I could hit the resist cap without Kira's on meph.

Got 8 skills left over, about 1.2 k health. Mebbe I should get a CTA or something to hit that extra health..

Phoenix and Fortitude... I might give that a shot.

Like Ox said, Guillaume's will serve you better.

However, keep the coh + SS combo. Phoenix doesn't do well. Fort is different, since res, but don't go for fort phoenix just because the ed.

Personally, drac + Storm > lay and LWPB. Have you tried this?

Nos you don't really need the IAS, and tgods would work for the stats and sorb.

Sans a kira, you'd need a raven for the ar dex and cbf.

And lay on hands dmg, I can't find it in one of the stickies, but it only mentions ed%. I honestly forgot if they worked or not >< At anyrate, the ed% isn't needed.

As weird as it may sound, try an angelic ammy/ring combination. You said you have 10k-ish AR & that won't cut it. Just make sure to keep your resists up from meph, as losing mara's will hurt them. Still, it's worth it. You can't kill them if you can't hit them.

And for the other ring, use raven frost. It's AR, dex & CBF mods are awesome. SoJ isn't really doing you any good, & regular leech isn't too hot for UT. My kicker actually doesn't have any mana leech at all. She just chugs a blue pot if she happens to get mana burned.

Edit: Make liberal use of cloak of shadows. Used properly, it will be your best friend in UT; since it seems like the minions are causing you trouble.

Good hints above. I like to keep tristram runner quite cheap, I don't mind if it takes little longer to kill them. So diffent items for me.

Its quite easy task to survive there, after that start change items to kill them faster if needed. Assa has enough power to do them in at least in 4x players game (helped one party after they failed tristram). Kicker has more than enough killing speed while soloing.

While you survive there (most import) and keep bosses whole time open wounded (they life stay same or go down whole time) , no need to hurry there, they get killed eventually. You can add speed later, after you know that you can kick them safely.

Cheap setup, like Fleshripper, Duress, 2x raven, Stormshield and Thunderbelt worked just fine for me. Life tap wand at switch.
I don't use torch there either, laggy and want to pickup new one at same char. I keep anni away too, It's my Clone killer too.

Mephisto is usually easiest, if I lack resist, I just use wizzpike against it.

Around lvl80 chars usually works there, but higher lvl never hurt. You have more than enough lvls for sure.

I have done it with Lastwish too, but I liked Fleshripper more.

Stop bosses life regeration (most important)
Open wounds from just Gore wasn't enough for me, Baal at least regerated life at same point. Adding other items to get better chance to trigger ow helped. I don't use venom there, poison from charms last longer.

Absorb and slow (not fastest kill, but its safe at least)
Enough absorb so those minions can't hurt you much and slowing the boss worked for me (slowed boss, less minions). With this kind of setup, no hurry in there, so ~50% crushing blow worked just fine for me. And remember to drink enough thawning/antidotes before fight, so you are almost immune to those two elements too.

Safety blanket (something always goes wrong there eventually)
If all fails (laggy game, failed to separate bosses, helping others after they failed etc...) I then change some items and slow them even more (Fleshripper, Cleglaw gloves, Black horn's face, total 65% slow). I have Rising sun amu in stash too, to add fire absorb if there are too many minions there. Usually I keep those in stash, but its there in case **** *** *** ***.

So hmmm advice given to me so far seems to be switch equipment around. I have a lot of the items mentioned let's see now

Kira --> Guillame Face
Lastwish phaseblade --- Stormlash or fleshripper for slow
Laying of hands ----- Dracs
nosferatu --- Tgods
mara---- Angelic Ammy
dl ring --- Angelic Ring
soj ----- Raven Frost
stormshield ---- might need to socket this baby to keep resists up
COH ap
upped goreriders

So there really isn't any specific strategy I need to employ except seperate the bosses and kick? Cos the venom lords make mincemeat out of me and the cooldown from cloak of shadows is too darn long.. Is there any videos I could watch that show good skils application? Most of the time I'm slain by a minion and not the boss.

You can still use that Kira Against Mephisto, as you had no problems with that one. Change to Guillaume against others.

What charms you use? Even crap life charms to give 300... more life and some resist.

You have max block with storm? Those ravens, or raven/angelic helps to get that max block.

Can't give any good strategy advices. You are familiar with those ubers? Killed with other chars several times? So you know how to fight with them.
Even with Dracula's, I use life tap wand at switch to trigger life tap right away. Saves one or two full purples for later use. Against baal, I use one row of mana pots, as that mana burning is so annoying.

One point cloak with couple +skills shouln't last too long. Or what lvl cloak you have with tristram gear on?

My kicker has been in a cool down mode for a while. But what I remember Meph and Baal were piece of cake for me but Diablo and Lords were pain. Until I switched Stormlash to Fleshripper. I didn't dare to use CoS as I thought it'd kill the game as it does in Ancients (at least for me).

How much FHR you have? I remember becoming obsessed with it and had over 120. More than enough, but yeah...

it's my first time fighting the ubers and the first char I build to do so. I got fleshripper and storm. A short Cos might serve me better I suppose. I have like + 10 to all skills. I might take of some skills stuff I guess.

I have max block with storm. I dun have any FHR though, I dun think I have any charms there. I guess I can toss out the trap gcs and put in more health charms

How much health should I have roughly? Is FHR that important? I always read that it's a pvp thing

I believe I explained a bit of my strategy in the later part of the uber trist thread that is still stickied. Shouldn't be too hard to find within browsing the last 10 pages.

Still, it's worth it. You can't kill them if you can't hit them.10K Ar is plenty. Granted, it's more like an effective min, and ar is always great, but don't sacrifice gear for it; charms are a more effective place. The angelic combo is good for ar, but you lose other items, so not that good.

My preference always leans towards dual leech (even if tap is better, but good for general anyway). The ML saves me blues, which I can use another row of w.e I need.

Edit: Make liberal use of cloak of shadows. Used properly, it will be your best friend in UT; since it seems like the minions are causing you trouble.Note: Cast at the start, but not during Uber kicking. It overrides LT and no more tap will get you killed.

How much FHR you have? I remember becoming obsessed with it and had over 120. More than enough, but yeah...fhr isn't really important in pvm. even 48% would work more than well enough.
