I build an Assassin and i am confused about boots.

I've seen lots of people claims Upgraaded Gore Riders but when i look Shadow Dancer looks better. And about kicking (I'll use Dragon Tail)

War Boots 39 80 120

Myrmidon Greaves 83 149 120

So anyway which one i should use?

Up'ed Gore Riders become Myrmidon Greaves. So the only difference between the two boots are the mods, and these boil down to this:

Gore Riders
10% Chance Of Open Wounds
15% Chance Of Crushing Blow
15% Deadly Strike

Shadow Dancer
+1-2 To Shadow Disciplines
+30% Faster Hit Recovery
+15-25 To Dexterity

For a PvM kicker, Crushing Blow is golden, whereas Shadow Skills aren't anything special. The FHR and Dex are nice, but are more important for a PvP build.

No love for the double up'd Goblin Toes Mirrored Boots?

These are the only kicking boots I'd use pvm. Higher Cb and a boot base that's a marginal difference in damage over the other 2. If a kicker has even 1 source of OW somewhere then the ow on the gores now becomes redundant (using dracs, fleshripper, lacerator or Duress?). Now your just debating 15% cb vs 25% and a little bit of boot base. Since fodder monsters are instagib'd it's the higher life targets you notice a jump in kill speed on. This is where Gob's shine.

Mirrored Boots 50 -145
Myrmidon Greaves 83-149

YMMV

It usually not 15 vs 25% CB, but 50 vs 60% or 75 vs 85%. I regularly use Fade on kick-sins and I can't stand the 0 FRW on Goblins. I prefer a reasonable pair of rares over Goblins.

For kicking they are pretty poor and they have no FRW. :p

Ceramic Weasel nailed it, the +2 shadow and fhr shines foremost on pvp sins, while cb is great in pvm.

ahh that explains it.

I'm a bos user for all but ubers and for that it's a small map and a lot of stand in place attacking. I run rift now on my kickers so on that build there is few spots available for cb, this makes the added cb on gobs is particualarly sweet. I also tend to use cateye for most of my playing further covering up the missing frw.

Lots of ways to skin a cat (eww the meanies) , but this thread would be remiss without throwing out the mighty double up'd goblin toes as a pvm kicker boot option.

Another nice point here is that at level 22 you can equip your gobs. One up them to battle boots for level 29 and then for hell up to elites, so they will grow with you.

Goblin Toes is of the Light plated type, so double upped they become Mirrored boots which have 167 strength requirement.
