As I have understood it, the Barbarian you play in Diablo III is the same barbarian as in Diablo II.

What background does the female barbarian have? Does she have her own story or is it the same post-worldstone-story as for the male barbarian and we just have to pretend that we played a woman in Diablo II or should we assume that Mr.Barb is a transgender and is now a Ms.Barb?

keep in mind that the "new" barb is also really old. The Female looks young, so possibly was born post world stone, or at least was very young at the time.

With his reappearance I assume the Barbarian killed Diablo in Diablo 2.

Who will kill him in the 3rd one? I'm going to wait till the next two classes come out to make that guess.
