Newbie to Assassin's, need some help

Hey guys. Well, recently I figured I would try out this class after glancing over it for so long to just play what I'm used to, but here's the thing, I'm a total noob when it comes to Sins, so I have no idea what all the builds mean nor what I should do for a first char and all that. If someone or someones could help explain this stuff to me, I'd be really grateful. Thanks in advance

Well for the common builds, WW /ghosts refer to assassins that use Whirlwind, the special that you get from Chaos runeworded claws, trappers are as the name suggest sins that focus solely on the trap tree, builds focused on Dtalon are called kickers or hybrid builds flashdancers, kick/trap hybrid which focus on Datalon and traps of your choice.

For a first char, do you mean untwinked? If you're playing without high-end gear, I suggest a trapper build. It's the cheapest out of all the sin builds I personally feel, as there with gamebreaking runewords like Spirit around. A 20 fireblast, 20 LS(lightning sentry), 20 DS(Death Sentry), 20 CBS(Charged Bolt Sentry) with enough plus skills, its easy to achieve + 10 or so these days with ppl dropping sin torches for free or pgems, and +3 trap claws shoppable from anya. And this trapper already gives you 3 different types of dmg to deal with immunities

After a while, you'll probably start experimenting with different types of sins and realize they are one of the most interesting classes with a great number of builds. Also, probably the class where you need to have a whole keyboard of shortkeys, I personally go with something like 12 to 16 hotkeys sometimes versus 5 for my paly :P.

Tip on Sins. Practice using mind blast and cloak of shadows. Almost every sin uses it.
