Stats Glitch or no?

I have 64 str and i want to wear an item which requires 63 str. It is labeled red and doesnt allow me to wear it. i dont know if this is a glitch or not but i dont know what is wrong.

What item is it and what character do you play?

There are other requirements beside strength. Dexterity, level requirement and some class specific items can be equipped only by the class they're designed for.

If the item you are replacing gives +str you won't be able to switch until you invest that amount of str.

theres also class specific items which can only be worn by a certain class. also you have to identify every item before you can wear it.
