malah resistance scroll

i read somewhere on bnet forums that when you die, resistance bonus from malah scroll dissapears and you need to re-enter game for it to come back.
true or false?

by the way, do character bonuses ever dissapear and need to be reverted, like putting gear back on after a trade session, something stephan said

Damn, I almost forgot about that (this would be my 4th time returning to D2). A good workaround is not dying though :D

*if I'm dueling OTOH, this b.s. sounds like a major PITA and risks getting you temped if you are doing public dueling. Then again I haven't dueled since vanilla (2001 lol), so I don't know what it's like these days.
